Given in marriage by her father,
the bride chose a floor-length gown
of white polyester crystalette, high
mandarin neckline With full puffy
sleeves trimmed with imported
daisy lace. A • Juliet caplet,
trimmed with matching daisies and
pearls, held her long chapel train
edged with matching daisies. All
around bottom of the dress was, a
gathered frill and the neckline was
trimmed with daisies. She carried
a white lace covered bible,
complimented with • yellow sweet-
heart roses, stephanotis •and trail-
•ing streamers with yellow rose
buds.
Maid of honour was Doris Stokes
R.N. of Belmore, a friend of the
bride, now Mrs. Gerald Rogers.
She' wore a floor-length dress of
lilac chiffon flocked with a' multiple
of different coloured flowers and
white daisies with a low 'round
neckline• and full gathered short
sleeves brought in with white daisy
lace to form a ruffle. She carried a
symphony bouquet of white daisies
and ,inauve miniature carnations
with pale green baby's. breath.
Bridesmaids were Barbara Wilk-
ins, R. R. 3 LuCknow, a neighbour
and Vera Brasjen R.N. of R. R. 3
Teeswater, the bride's room-mate
at Wingham. Their dresses and
bouquets were identical to the maid
of honour.
Groomsman was John Huizinga
of Palmerston, brother of the
groom.
The ushers were Bryce Ritchie of
R. R. 3 Lucknow; brother of .the
bride, and Harvey Evans of Ripley,
a friend of the groom. They all
wore tuxedos. The jackets were
white with black trim and black
trousers and shoes, lilac shirts to

Ashfield, officiated at the double
ring ceremony. .
Eric Campbell of Westfield, a
member of the staff. of the
Wingham Hospital, was' organist
and accompanied the soloist, Mrs.'
Lorne Sparks of Lucknow, 'a friend
of the brideand groom,' who sang
"We Two Together" and "Be-
match the bridesmaid's dresses,
black bow •ties and boutonnieres of
White carnations tinted yellow. The
groom's suit was the same with
white ruffled shirt with black trim
and a yellow rose bOutonniere to
match the bride's bouquet.
The bride's mother wore a deep
pink polyester fortrel floor,length
gown. The bodice was matching
eyelet lace with wrist-length sleev-'
es, white accessories and wore an
off white cymbidium orchid cor
sage.• •
, The groom's mother wore a
white crimp •with mauve diamond
design floor-length gown with
waist band and tie and wrist-length
sleeves, white accessories and
wore a light green cymbidium
orchid.
- Honoured guests were the
bride's grandparents; Mr. : and
Mrs. Wesley Ritchie of Lucknow.
The bride's grandmother chose a
baby blue polyester fortrel floor"-
length gown with short sleeves,
white accessories and wore a pink
rose corsage.
The dinner was held later at
Snell's Restaurant, Westfield,
which was decorated with pink and
white streamers and bells. The
tables were decorated with glasses
of floating daisies. A four-tiered
wedding cake, made by the bride's
mother and decorated with mauve
and yellow roses and white doves,
made the centrepiece for the
bride's table. •
For traveling the bride wore a
peach, with white polka dots,
knee-length sleeveless dress with
matching short sleeve jacket, white
accessories and a white miniature
carnation corsage. The couple
en joyed a camping trip in Northern
Ontario returning home July 5th as
the bride was matron of honour at
the wedding of her friend Doris
Stokes of Belmore. They then
continued their wedding trip,
travelling to Niagara Falls for the
week end.
