This community extends their
sympathy to Mrs. Lorne Forster in
the passing of her father.
Dewayne Johnston of Mildmay is
holidaying with Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Moore, Richard, Linda and'
Cindy.
Richard Moore informs us that
the Lucknow Pee ' Wee Softball
team of which he is a member, won
at Southampton Friday evening
with a score of 16-6 in favor of
Lucknow. Also at the Ball
Tournament at Lucknow the Inter=
mediate team won the final trophy.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moore and
family on Saturday spent the day at
Southampton Beach.
Sandy Fryfogle of Stratford, a'
first year student at Knox College,
on Sunday attended services at
Chalmer's Presbyterian . Church
here to hear Mr. Bev Kay, also a
first year student, preach. Next
term both will return for their
second year. Sandy spent the
afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Bev
Kay and family.
Mr. and Mrs. George Gray of
Ireland are visiting with her. sister
Mrs. George Currie and Mr. Currie
of East Wawanosh. It is many
yeafs since the sisters have seen
each other.
Miss Barbara Milan of. Milton
was a week end visitor with her
friend Miss Mildred McClenaghan.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baird,
Lou Ann, Shelley and • Angi of
Cayuga were recent guests with
Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan.
Mr. and Mrs. George Roth and
Cheryl of Owen Sound were week
end visitors, with his mother Mrs
Robert Ross, Mr. and Mrs. Russel
Ross, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ross and
family. Cheryl is remaining for a
week's holidays with her relatives
here. .
Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenagfian
on Saturday attended the wedding
at Tilbury of Alan McIntyre, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jim McIntyre of Val
Cairon and Miss Julette Chatup of
Tilbury.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moss of
Plattsville spent the week end with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben.
McClenaghan.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Moss and two
grandchildren of Auburn visited
Saturday evening with his brother
Harry MoSs and Mrs. Moss at the
home of Mr. and Mrs.' Ben
Mgclenaghan.
Mrs. Bill Willis was removed on
Thursday from Wingham Hospital
to Victoria Hospital, London, where
she had surgery at the week end.
The community wish her a speedy
recovery.
Miss Lori Kay of Guelph' visited
the week end with 'Mr. and Mrs.
Bev Kay, Wendy and Graham.
Even though the weather was
cold and the lake too rough for
swiniming„the_.-Sunda3-School
picnic was held'at Amberley Beach
with around 30 present and the
children had an enjoyable time
playing games and contests.
Joint services between Chaim-
er's Presbyterian Church and
Whitechurch United Church will
be held in 'the United Church for
the month of August. Services will
be held at 10 a.m. and will be
conduCted by Rev. Wilena Brown.
Sunday School at ChalmerS will be
follow at 11.15 a.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Falconer,
Tony and Timmy moved to their
new home last week.
Lynn Falconer of Sarnia was a
visitor last week with her grand-
parents, Mr.. and Mrs. Robert
Mowbray.

marriage of Thelma Steele of Coe
Hill and. Edmund Green of Holy-
rood, on Saturday, May 31st at 7.30
p.m., by Rev. Bewell of Cardiff.
She was given in marriage by her
son Donald of Gravenhurst, in a
double ring, ceremony. Matron of
honour was her daughter-in-law
Loretta. Groomsman was Ross
Green 'of, Holyrood, brother of the
groom.
A wedding dinner was served by
candlelight at Wildwood Inn, South
Paudash.

The sixth annual Burt reunion
and picnic was held on Saturday,
July 19, at 2.30 p.m.' at the
Hanover Park with fifty-three
attendin 'Guests Mrs. Gert
Emmett r. and Mrs. Jack Groves
and ythe of Toronto and
Bob Small_ f Hanover joined
Charles Burt of Brugelea Haven,
Walkerton and members of the
immediate family of eight, Helen,
Mrs. Cecil MacMillan, Mount
Forest; Edith, Mrs. Allison Collins,
Kincardine; Anne, Mrs. Bern
Norris, Toronto; Jim, Ted and Bill,
Kinloss Twp.; Bob, Toronto and
Norma, Mrs. Lou Carignan, St.
John's, Quebec, grandchildren and
great grandchildren who were
present from / Toronto, Mount
Forest, Holyrood, Kincardine, Lon-
don, Vittoria, Hanover, Orangevil-
le, St. John's, Quebec and Inner-
kip.
The blessing was asked by Bill
Burt. A short meeting followed the
meal with president, Mrs. George
(Sue) Burt presiding and Mrs.
Norman (Eileen) Sceli- reading
minutes of last year's meeting.
Mrs. Keith (Irene) Priest was
elected president, • Mrs. Harold
(Lois) McKnight elected vice
president, Mrs. Ron" (Joan) Arm-
strong elected secretary-treasurer
for the 1976 picnic. Sports
committee for next year consists of
Ron Armstrong, Bern Norris, Gerry
and Terry Burt and lunch commit-
tee Mr. and Mrs. Tom Haskett and
Mr.. and Mrs. Bob Burt.
All agreed „to meet on Saturday,
July 17, 1976 at 2.30 p.m.' sharp at
the Hanover Park, for the seventh
annual Burt Reunion. and picnic.
