established the Ontario Beef Calf Income , •
Stabilization. Program—a voluntary program
designed to:
Complete information on the program,.as • stabilize the income 'of recognized beef
well as enrollment form and contracts, are calf producers in Ontario; ,
available at your local office of the Ontario • encourage a continuing steady supply of
Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Ontario-produced beef stocker calves.
It will establish a floor on the amount of
money a producer may expect to receive in
years of poor calf prices.

Mrs. Buchanan had taken a
six week training course in
Londop's Birthright Centre, at

18 years of age to be in-
dependent - not age 16 as most
of the listeners, had thought.

Munro, delegates to the first
annual Youth Pro Life 'con-
ference held in the St. Paul's
Anglican Church, Toronto on
Friday and Saturday, June 20
and 21 made reports.
The keynote address was
given by Morris C. Shumiat-
cher, Q.C. on the topic "Murder
Made Marvelous". He stated
that abortion on demand is
being made palatable to the
people of Canada through the
same techniques used by, the
slave traders and Indian
fighters a century ago.
The pro-abortionists have
attempted to depersonalize the
unborn child in the minds of the
public he said, which
"anacthesizes the human
conscience and makes murder .
marvelous.'' His speech was
folloWed by. a question and
answer period.
On Saturday, June 21 there
were several workshops.

• Miss Lusignan said, "One of
our first aims is 'to dispel the
myth being fostered by anti-life
groups that the pro-life
movement consists solely of
middle age Catholic
housewives. Youth has a lot to
say about Respect for Human
Life but if anyone listened to
the pro-abortion advoCates one
would think we were all for the
killing of unborn babies."
"Abortion is not the only way
life is threatened today," she
Went on. "We can't be pro-life
and fail to try and counter the
increasing instances of
euthanasia, infanticide and
child abuse."

Adrian Keet gave the report
of the Family Seminar hosted
by the Guelph Right to Life held
in the University of Guelph on

It was reported that $2,500
was raised by. Abe 'Walk for
Life" which was held on
Saturday, June 21,. This money
will . be used for radio com-
mercials and donatiotrof books
to school libraries, etc.
In correspondence 'a letter
was read from the Kitchener
Right to Life and M.P.P. Jack
Riddell who regretted he was
unable to attend and walk in the
Walkathon but enclosed a
donation to the cause.
It was reported that 50
percent of UNICEF monies
goes to Family Planning. This
has been done since 1950.'.
Mrs. Alice Krohmer gave the '
treasurer's report.
It was decided that 'the an.-
nual dinner meeting will be
held around the middle of

ble.to participate in this program, which
;forms the first part of an overall Farm In-
come Stabilization !policy. You can partici-
pate, by contracting to join the prOgram for
a five-year period and by paying an annual-
fee for every eligible beef' cow you enroll in
the program. Your Ontario government will
also Contribute.to the program..
For 1975; your fee will be $5 per cow,
howeyer, for this year fees are deferred
until payments to producers are made. The
provincial government contracts to make a
grant per cow to participating producers if
the average market price for Ontario-
produced stocker calves falls below the
stabilized price of 50e per pound in 1975.
Payments will be' made in December or as
soon as possible thereafter.
The enrollment period for eligible produc-
ers in 1975 ends August 31.
