monies at Alumni Hall, University
of Western Ontario, were her
parents, sister Kathy and Don
Savage of Kincardine.
Ripley's Alive In 75, the theme of
the Ripley-Huron Reunion, will
prove itself this week end. The
long awaited event has at last
arrived and the committees, Under.
Kinettes Support
Community Needs
The Lucknow and District Kinet-
te Club recently. contributed $200
towards the campaign for funds for
equipment for the new medical
centre. '
The. Kinettes also contributed
the material for much needed
players benches at the ball park'.
Kinsmen members constructed the
benches and installed them. The
benches were put to good use in the'
ball tournament this past week
end,
Stratford Graduate
MAUREEN BRADLEY
Maureen Bradley graduated
from Huron Perth Regional School
of Nursing, Stratford on July 26.
She is the daughter of Jim and
Evelyn Bradley, R. 3 • Goderich.
Maureen has accepted a position
at Goderich Psychiatric Hospital
starting in August.

Died At Pinecrest
Mrs. Thomas Reeve, formerly, of
Meadowvale, passed away at. Pine-
crest Manor Nursing Home, Luck-
now on Sunday,July 27th. She was
77.
A family service was held: at
'MacKenzie Memorial Chapel,
Lucknow on Tuesday, July 29th at
10.30 a.m.
Interment was in Churchville
,Cemetery, Brampton.
chairman Don McTavish, who have
been working on plans for over a,
year, will at last see their hard work
and planning come to pass.
The event will, kick off at noon
Friday, August 1st with the
opening of Ripley Craft Festival
and it will be the wee small hours of
Tuesday, August 5th when the final
curtain comes down.

Fire Monday
At M. J. Smith
Firm, Port Albert
A propane tank at the business
site of M. J. Smith and Son Seed
and Grain Co. at Port Albert
became ignited and was the cause
of a fire alarm about 8.30 p.m.
Monday., The flaming tank was
situated among others and posed a
serious threat before firemen
cooled them down with Water.
Lucknow Fire Department and
the auxiliary water tanker went to
the scene. Shortly after their
arrival, Goderich Fire Department
also arrived.
The burning tank was to the east
of 'the buildings, offices, storage
hoppers and dryers.
Firemen remained on the scene
until the blaze was extinguished.
The 1975 Mill Rates have been
set for the Township of Huron.
The total assessment in Huron is
$31,861,450 and one mill will raise
$31,861.
The new rates, with last year's in
bracketS, are listed.

Donald Thacker, Teeswatcr, was
'walking his bicycle along' the road
July 26 when he was accidentally
hit on the neck by a .pellet. He was
examined and released•from Wing-
