Mr. and Mrs. Reg Moore
received a letter from their son
John who was at Fort McMurray at
the time of mailing it. From the
town, of Athabasca, north of
Edmonton, he travelled down the
Athabasca River, then the Lake by
canoe. After crossing the west , end
he will then be in the Slave River
leading to Great Slave Lake. From
Great Slave Lake presumably he
will be in the MacKenzie River for
the long trip "down north" not "up
north" as we say here. This is the
land of the blackflies - just ask John
Gamble - he has been there.
Home for the week end was
student nurse Miss Sherry Pollock

parents Wallace and Elaine Pol-

well as other relatives. . •
Up from Toronto for the next
couple of weeks are Mr. and ,Mrs.
Alex Cotton and sons Brian and
Doug. They arrived at the family
home on Malcolm Street in Ripley
last Thursday afternoon. •
