nieces of the bride.
The bridesmaids and flower girls
dresses and flowers were identical
to the maid of honour's, and they
all wore pearl necklaces,' a gift of
the bride.
Groomsman was Glenn Whitney
of Kingston, brother of the groom.

Town and Country
Season Ends
Lucknow Town and Country Club
met Tuesday evening of last week.
A -large crowd attended and
enjoyed. the lively euchre games.
The balance of the evening took the
form of a Birthday Party.
Robt. Fisher brought a beautiful
arrangement of roses for the
Birthday • table which later were
given to several who had birthdays
as well as. Mr. and Mrs. Art
Breckles who were celebrating a '
59th wedding anniversary.
Birthday cake and ice 'cream
were served and all sang Happy
Birthday To You. This will be the
last • meeting for the summer.
Wayne Whitney of Kincardine,
brother of the groom. .
They all wore brown tuxedos
with velvet lapels and satin trim,
white ruffled shirts, brown velvet '
bow ties and shrimp tinted
carnation boutonnieres.
Wedding music was played by
organist Miss Marie Boyle. Soloist
was Miss Nancy Errington, who
sang "Ava Maria", "The Lord's
Prayer", "Take These Hands" and
"I Honestly Love You".
A reception followed , at the
Lucknow Arena.
The bride's mother wore a white
floor-length gown with brown and
beige flowers, white accessories
and a brown-throated yellow orchid
corsage.
The groom's mother chose a
mint floor-length gown with match-
ing lace jacket, white accessories
and corsage of white rose buds.
For travelling the bride chose a
peach , knee-length dress, white
accessories • and white gardenia
corsage.
Following a wedding trip to.
North-Eastern Ontario and Queb-
ec, the couple, will reside at 112
Oxford Street, Guelph, 'where the
groom is employed at Avco Finance
Company and the bride is with
Victoria and Grey Trust Co.

Thompson of Dungannon and
Stephen Brian Whitney of Guelph
on Friday, June 6th 'at 5 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Thompson of
Dungannon. The groom is the son
of .Mr. and Mrs. Ronald A.
Whitney of R. R. 1 Kincardine.
Rev. Clarence McClenaghan of-
ficiated at the double ring cere-
mony. •,
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a floor-length gown
of white silk organza, appliqued
with imported French lace and
pearls and a Cathedral train with
appliqued lace trimming. Her
Juliet cap' of matching lace,
accented with pearls; held a
three-tier 'shoulder-length veil.
She carried a bouquet of white
gardenias and baby's breath.
Maid of honour was Miss Susan.

floor-length shrimp sleeveless
gown with low round neckline and

competition were:
Senior, 8 competitors, open to all,
young men and women 18-30 years
of age and also to all those who ate
graduates of a two year Diploma
Course in Agriculture: 2nd, Doug
Miller, R. 1 Lucknow, 782 out of a
possible 900 points.
Junior,• 41 competitors, open to
all men and women 13-14 years of
age: 2nd Ruth Alton, R. 2 Lucknow,
score 744 out of a possible 900, just
two points behind the winner Brian
Trewartha of R. 4 Clinton.
Novice, 46 competitors', open to
all young people' 12 to, 17 years of
age entering the Judging Competi-
tion for the first time and last
year's Pre 4H Club Members: l
Lynn Miller, R. 1 Lucknow, 765
of a possible' 990 points.
