Miss May Boyle told how this courtship began and . led, in a singing of love balads. Splendid readings were given by Mrs. Tom. MacDonald, Mrs. John Barr, Mrs. Bert Nicholson, "Mr. Delbert Hedley and Mrs. Jack Barr. Ken and Ron McFarlan, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan McFarlan, pleased the audience with a duet on their, band instruments. Mrs. Frank Maulden conducted a con- test. Mr.. and • Mrs. Burton Collins showed pictures of their trip to Paris, France. Katherine, in her capable manner, gave an interest- ing commentary and at the conclusion .showed pictures of their first. grandchild, Kelly McGillivray. At this time Mrs. Stewart Lane and Mrs. George Graham invited' Mr. and Mrs. Vance to the platform and Mrs. Lane read an appropriate address of 'good wishes and Mrs. Graham presented the gifts which were, a sunburst clock, a buffet fry pan, and a pyrex covered casserole. Mr. and Mrs. Vance were greatly 'pleased and Elmer made a fitting reply after which all joined in singing Happy Anniversary and Grace after which a bountiftil lunch. • was served and a social time enjoyed. Congratulations are' extended to all the students who have pagsed their exams, and we wish both teachers and pupils a happy holiday.
