Debbie, 15, daughter of Mr:' and
Mrs. J. R, Murray, Drayton,
formerly of this community, wore a
dress which had belonged to her
great grandmother Colbson and
which is over one hundred years
old.
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Clifford of
Detroit visited this week' in
Lucknow with the former's sister
Mrs. J. L. MacMillan and Mr. '
MacMillan and also with their
sister Miss Abbie.Clifford, who is a
patient in Avon Rest, Stratford.
On Wednesday, June 11th, a
number of Lucknow Women's
Institute and • Junior Institute
members attended a very enjoyable
picnic of the Bruce South District
W.I. at the United Church camp at
Silver Lake. After a bounteous
lunch at' noon, a -4-program and
games were enjoyed. Mrs. Alex
McNay conducted a 'contest on the
things we have that our grand-.
mothers didn't have, and gave a
reading as a contribution to the
program from the Lucknow branch.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wall of
Lucknow have returned from a two
week trip to Saskatchewan. They
travelled by bus through Northern
Ontario, returning through the
United States. They visited with
. Harry's , cousins, Roy and Clifford
Thompson at Creelman, Saskatche-
wan and called at Glen Ewan in
Saskatchewan where his two uncles
were buried. They also called on
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Button in
Weyburn, a son of Roy and Frances
Button, natives of the Lucknow
area.
.Mr. and Mrs. Mike MacMillan of
Thunder Bay visited with their
grandparents •Mr. and Mrs. J. L.
MacMillan, Lucknow, this past
week. Mike and Donna graduated
recently from Confederation Col-
lege, Thunder Bay, Donna from the
-Early Childhood Education Course
and Mike in Mechanical Aircra
They have accepted positions in
Whitehorse and left for the North.
Mrs. Bessie Strand of Hermis-
ton, Oregon is visiting with her,
brother Henry Carter in Lucknow.
Raymond Leddy of Lucknow is a
patient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, where he underwent
surgery last week. Mrs. Leddy
spent 'a few days -last week in
London visiting with tirn.
Miss •Kathleen Leddy of Strat-
ford spent a few days last week at
her home in Lucknow after recently
returning from a holiday trip to the
Barbados.
Grandchildren of Mrs. Emile
MacLennan of Lochalsh have
achieved awards in sports. Ricky
MacLennan, son of Mr. and Mrs..
Donald MacLennan of Wingham ,
has won a free week at the Bobby
Hull hockey school at Baffle. He
plays minor hockey in• Wirigharit.
Johnny MacLennan, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jack MacLennan of Stratford,
won a trophy as best goal tender in
a hockey tournament in Flint, Michigan.
