their annual 'church service at 'the
Lucknow United Church on Sunday'.

About 50 dodge members and
visitors attended. Ronald Alton,
Worshipful Master of the lodge,
read the' scripture. It is the custom
of the lodge ,' to hold their annual

LucknOw Minot Hockey Commit-
tee • has received delivery of the
Stewart Mann Memorial Trophy
which will, be awarded annually to
the top scorer in the Lucknow
Minor' Hockey ranks, :commencing;
next . season. , •
Following Stewart's death in a
car accident a few weeks ago,
friends made donations to a
memorial fund and the scoring
trophy is one of the things that has
come from this fund.
Stewart, himself, was top scorer
in the Lucknow hockey this year
and has, in past years, always been
well up' in the scoring tabulations.
The trophy has, been on display
in the window of The , Lucknow
Sentinel.

Object To Arena
Auction Sales
Lucknow Village Council met
with some of the business people in
Lucknow on Wednesday night of
last week to discuss the renting of
Lucknow Arena to Ball Auctions of
Brussels for weekly auction sales of •
new merchindise.
Some of the businesses had
objected to the public arena
-building being rented for commerc-
ial purposes. The Brussels firm
had purchased the necessary
transient traders licence and had
planned to operate on a weekly
basis each , Thursday night.
After discussion, it was agreed
that the arena would be rented to
the firm for four weeks only.

Winnipeg Seminar
-Miss Flora Simpson, who attends
Goderich District Collegiate Insti- rute in Goderich, was chosen 'to

Of Education and Ontario as a
delegate to the Interchange on
Canadian Studies held in Winnipeg
Manitoba. •
Flora left the Toronto Interna-
tional Airport' by C.P. Air on May 2
and returned on May 10th.
Twenty-one student delegates from
Ontario, accompanied , by Don
Rose, Educational Officer of the
Ministry of Education and repres-
entatives from all 10 provinces and
territories, attended the seminar.
Flora's.hosting student, was Miss
Andrea Brisbin; whose father
teaches in the University in that
city. Banquets and , entertainment
were held at the HOliday Inn.
CBC and Government officials
spoke to the group on various
subjects which was ' followed by
group discussionS by the students,~
Flora rated the program to be
very informative and excellent in
all respects.
Flora is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Duncan Simpson of Kintail.
