Porteous of Lucknow has returned home from Wingham and District Hospital, where she was a patient for almost three weeks. Maclntyre of Lucknow spent a week recently visiting Mr. and Mrs. John' Crow and girls at WeStland, Michigan. Mrs. Crow is the former Marlene MacLennan of this community. Mrs..Simon de Boer has returned home after spending four weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Hank kragt of Surrey, B.C. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff MacMillan and family of St. Catharines visited this past week with their -parents Mr. and Mrs. J. L MacMillan. Master Warrant Officer George Webster of Halifax, while taking a short course at Camp Borden, visited with his parents Mr: and Mrs. Harvey Webster of Lucknow. His sisters and their families, Mi. and Mrs. Roy Hunt (Elizabeth) and their three sons of Fordwich, . and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Pym (Nancy) and son and daughter of St. Catharines, also were visitors. Harvey had the privilege of attending the Masonic Service at Lucknow United, Church on Sunday with his son, George has recently joined the Masonic Lodge at Halifax. Alex MacKenzie of Lucknow attended the christening of his great grandson, Alexander Gordon Moffat, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Moffat, which was held at Oakville on May 18. Instrumental Music as a credit has been offered in GOderich District Collegiate for two years. The 1975 salary agreement giv- ing Huron Board of Education teachers an almost 30% increase. was ratified at a board meeting last week. Under the agreement, starting teachers with a degree will earn from $10,400 to 512,460, depending on qualifications. Teachers with 10 years experience will earn from $17,100 to $21,900, depending on th#:, category they are in. The board's five principals will earn from $27,400 to $30,660, While vice-principals will earn from about $25,000 to $27,400.
