Lightning Damages
Kinloss Homes
T o Kinloss Township resid-
ences were struck by lightning last
Friday afternoon during an elect-
rical storm. •
At the farm of Ira Dickie, on the'
4th of Kinloss, lightning appeared
to travel in a clothes line striking a
back woodshed and igniting a dust
mop behind a door. Ira and son
William were at home at the time
and for a few minutes were unable
to trace the' smoke.• The fact that
someone was home, probably
saved the home from destruction
by fire. The mop was' smoldering
when discovered. The bolt cracked
a board in the woodshed wall and
blew out a window.
OVer on the second of Kinloss, at
the home of Blake Smith, lightning
struck the stone house owned by
Evan Keith, the former Douglas
Graham home, and damaged the
television arid furnace.
