Tuesday afternoon with nine mem-
bers present. Mrs. Ray Hanna was
leader, assisted by Mrs, M.
Johnston using "Mother" as the
theme of the meeting.

with a poem "Mother". Mrs. M.
Johnston gave the call to worship
taken from the first chapter of
Proverbs, verses 8 and 9. Hymn
399."Faith of Our Fathers" was

MotherS used to make all the
bread, butter, soap, elothes, cur-
tains, etc. Mothers do not have to
be kitchen slaves now as, every-
thing can be bought4nd put on our
shelves. Most things'can be taught
in schools or colleges now, but
there are still things that Mothers
teach their children that can't be
taught in any school. Mothers
teach their daughters how to make
a hoMe by teaching cooking,
cleaning, sewing, canning, etc:,
and to' train them in the christian
faith. She closed with poems,
"Mother", "My Grandmother's
Cake", "Recipe to Preserve Child-
ren" and "My Little Kitchen".
Hymn 394 "Happy the home
when God is there" was sung.
