Holiday visitors with Mrs. Cam-
eron MacDonald, Lucknow, were
Mrs. Roderick MacLeod of Chat-
' ham, Mrs. W. G. *Murdoch of
Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Barry
Kennedy and their son Scott
Alexander Murdoch of Missis-
sauga. '
Mrs. Ron. Bothwell of Norwood
was a week, end visitor. in Lucknow
with her mother, Mrs. Ed Thom.
Mrs. Thom accompanied her home
to Norwood, where she will spend
the next three weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dexter
spent four days at the Holland
Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan;
also part of the time at Kalamazoo,
Michigan.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Carter,
Wingham, along with other family
members namely Mr. and Mrs.
Bryan Brebner, R. 1 Wingharn;
Mr. and Mrs. Peter R. Carter and,
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bailey,
Walkerton, were among the pass-
engers on board Bus 1 on the
conducted Hanover Holiday Tours
which departed Friday evening for
Nashville, Tennessee and returned
Monday evening. Their tour guide
was Miss Mail), Anne Beuhlow,
Walkerton and Wm. Moulton,
Kincardine was, their bus driver.
Places of interest they visited were
the, Grand Ole Oprey Saturday Nite
Show, the Country Music Hall of
Fame and Museum, The Upper
Room Chapel and Opryland.
Sunday. morning a tour was made
among the historical sites and the
homes of the stars of film and
song. While in Nashville they were
guests at Vanderbilt West End
Ave. Holiday Inn.

Ron. McQuillin of Kinloss recent-
ly' returned home after eight weeks
in "Wingham and London Hospitals
where he underwent surgery.
A group of about 40 young
people from Zion Church in
Kitchener attended the morning
service at Lucknow United Church
on Sunday. They Were at a week
end camp at Silver Lake.

Mrs. IVan (Gail) Cranston of
A'shfield has been. engaged to
supervise the program and her
staff will include Leone Cranston of
Ashfield, Connie Stevenson and
Linda Campbell, both of West
Wawanosh.
Registration for swimming for
the summer months has been set
for June 7th and 14th. There will
be two swimming sessions, July
and August.
Johii Hamilton of. Lucknow will
Supervige the swimming prograM
and his assistant will be Gail
MacPherson of Teeswater. Both
are former. instructors.
The three other instructors are
Mary Ann Miltenburg of Ashfield,
Marilyh Murray of Kinloss and
Kathy Treleaven of Lucknow. All
three are graduates of the Lucknow
swimming program.
Part time life -guards at the pool
will be Mrs. Bill (Donna) Moffat of
Kinloss and 'Ian Montgomery. of
Lucknow.
Public swimming will begin
about the middle of June with
classes commencing July 2nd.
The Recreation Committee ap-
preciate the- interest of the many
who applied for the swimming and
recreation positionS.
Spring Concert Of
Lucknow Town
And Country Club
The Lucknow Town and Country
Club Spring concert was held. May
12 in the Legion Hall with 'a large
attendance. It was be4utifully
decorated with spring floWers:
Phonse Murray, president, open-
ed the entertainment and the
members sang O Canada and their
theme song, accompanied by Mrs.
Harvey Webster.
Mr. Murray then introduced his
wife Gertie:, the program convener,
who welcomed the audience and
began the program with Town and
Country singing - "It isn't any
trouble just to smile, Side Walks of
New York, Little Brown Jug, And
the 'More We Get Together". The
next 'number was Mrs. Jim
McEwan playing an accordian
selection. A vocal duet by Fr. Ed
Dentinger C.R. and Elmer Umbach
included the numbers "Dear
Hearts and Gentle. Pepple, Drifing
and Dreaming, When Your Hair
Turns to Silver, Carolina Moon and
Now Is the Hour".
Lisa Husk did a tap dancing
number. The Irish Rovers enter-
tained with Irish songs, jokes and
stories, accompanied by Mrs. Viola
McKenzie, and violin play': •: by •
Frank Scott, Other members o e he
group were Mrs. John A: Ma ''I on-
aid, Mrs. Joe Scott, Mrs: Donald
/flue, Mes. Jim Kirkpatrick and
Mrs. Walter Lock.
A skit; "Saved" was by Mrs.
Ronald and Mrs, Ray Stanley.
Square dancing numbers by Huron
`Bruce Swingers and violin selec-
flops by Elliott Carruthers, accom-
panied by his wife Grace were
enjoyed.
The 1975 Hat Fashion Preview
was performed by Mrs. Bob Helm,
Mrs. Clarence Irwin, Mrs. Marsh-
all Gibson, Mrs. Al Irwin, Mrs. Les
Purvis,' Mrs. Spence Irwin, Mrs.
Howard Barger, Min;: Victor John-
son with Mrs. Harvey Webster as
commentator. Brother Carl Voll
C.R. gave a recitation, Maggie and
• JiggS.. Tap dancing by little Lisa
Husk and square dancing by the
Swingers were again enjoyed. A
reading by Mrs. Donald McCosh,
an accordian selection 'by Mrs. Jim
McEwan and violin playing by ,
Mr. and Mrs. Carruthers complet-
ed the program. •
Mrs. Mprray thanked the enter-
tainers and commended the aud-
ience for their 'response and
attention. Harvey Webster thank-
ed the convener, Mrs. Murray.
God Save the Queen brought an
enjoyable evening to a close.

Mr. and Mrs. Hackett held a
smorgasbord supper for family
members and friends at' their home
that evening in honour of Rosalea's
graduation.
Rosalea has accepted a position
at the Stratford General Hospital
starting,June 2nd.

Attending the District 1 spring
convention for Kinsmen at Univer-
sity of Western Ontario in London
this past week end were Mr. and,
Mrs., Brian Johnston, Mr. and Mrs.
Terry Rathwell, Mr. and Mrs. Herb
Barger, Donnie Johnstone and
'Tony Johnstone of the Lucknow
Club.
The candidate for Zone B, John
Green of Drayton, was elected
District 1 Governor over the 85
clubs in the Zone. The Lucknow
Club,took part in his campaign.
