'GRADE 5 Az 6 On Monday, April 28, Grade '5 and 6 went on a bus trip trip to the, Science Centre in Toronto. We left at 7.00 a.m. and returned home at 7.30 p.ma. We arrived at the Science Centre at 10.00 a.m. and then went through various places. The class ate at a Cafeteria and then went to more interesting spots. At 4.30 p.M. we left for home. We were very tired; Two new girls have come to our school. Both girls are in Grade 5. Cheryl Lotten is in Mrs. Huston's class and Carol is in Mr. O'Donohue's class. REUNION Miss Ruth Elliott of Kitchener spent the week end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Schwicht- enberg, Kerry and Lori of Port Elgin spent the week end with her father Albert Coultes and her sister Mrs. Alex Craig and Mr. C'aig and Lana. Mrs. Schwiehtenberg'. can now walk without the crutches. The members of Chalmers Presbyterian Church are busy painting the windows of the church prior to putting on storm windows. New front steps are also being put up. Sunday, May 11 is Mother's ,Day. Chalmers Presbyterian Church has invited the folks to come to church as a family, when Sunday School awards will be presented during - the ' iegular church service. - On Wednesday last a bee was held at Langside cemetery when the old east fence was torn out and a new one, put in. Other cave-ins were also filled in. SOUTH KINLOSS Douglas Dickie spent Sunday at his home after spending five days with a group, touring Beef Farms in Iowa U.S.A. WS. Philip Steer attended the Officers' Conference at Waterloo University as a delegate from Kairshea W.I. Several ladies attended the Presbyterial in. Teeswater on Mon- day. South Kinloss church service will be at 9.30 a.m. next Sunday.. Congratulations to Mrs. Peter Edisbury on being a Dinner Winner on the CKNX radio program last Thursday. Mrs. Janet McConnell, who had been staying with her daughter, Mrs. Herb Buckton, was taken suddenly ill during the night on Sunday and rushed by ambulance to Walkerton Hospital'. We hope for a good report soon. .George Buckton has been stay- ing with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Buckton' while his parents; Dr. and Mrs. Buckton spent a week in the Bahamas. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Des Roches and family took the school bus with 21' cub, scouts to Marine Land at Niagara Falls. Some parents also accompanied the scouts. .
