now attended' the Officer's Confer-
ence of the Women's Institute at
the University of Waterloo, April
29, 30 and May 1. Mrs. Philip
Steer was. Kairshea W.I. delegate,
Mrs. George Kennedy, Lucknow
W.I. and Mrs. Lyman Sutton,
Teeswater delegate. Mrs. Cecil
Hollands of Reid's Corner W.I. was
One of the Discussion Group .leaders for secretary treasurers.
Mrs. Dorothy MacLeod of Luck-
now is visiting in Moncton, /New
Brunswick, with her daughter,
Mrs. Wayne Carson,
Miss Ada Webster, Lucknow,
spent laSt week in Clinton as, the
guest of Mr. and Mrs. Watson Webster.
The executive of Lucknow Wom-
en's Institute held a-meeting in the
assembly room of the town hall on
Wednesday evening, April 30th to
arrange the programs for the
coming year.
Local winners at the recent

her home in Wingham on Thursday

Alistair returned to their home at
Grande Prairie after visiting with
his mother, Mrs. , John Barr, and
other members of his family here.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Page of
Ottawa and Dr. and Mrs. Imam.

visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Page and Andrew.
Mrs. Howard Thompson and
Mrs. Roy Collins will °be hostesses
for the A.C.W. meeting and
quilting at the church on Thursday,
afternoon, May 5th,.
Sympathy is extended to the
:family and relatives of the late Mrs.
Ethel McLean of Kincardine and
formerly of here. The funeral was
held on Monday from the Linklatet
Funeral Home.
Mr. and Mrs. Rex Stewart of
Millarton visited on Sunday even-
