Resident Passes
MRS. DAVID NIVINS
Funeral services, were held
Saturday, April 12 for Mrs. David
Nivins. who passed away .at 'her
home after a lengthy illness on
April 9.
She was the former Ellen Muriel
Smith and had resided' in West
Wawanosh • Township for many
years. She was 76 years of age;
Her husband passed away 15
years ago. She was a member of
Nile United Church.
She is survived by two sons,
Wesley at home and Alex of R'. R. 3
Auburn; nine• daughters, Mrs.
William (Elsie) Hardy, R. R. 1
Belgrave; Mrs. Lloyd (Margaret)
Brindley, Salford; Mary at home;.
Mrs. Clarence •(Adeline) Align,
Benmiller; Mrs. David (Betty)
Sproul, Dungannon; Mrs. John
(June) Clark, R.R. 5 Goderich;
Mrs. Frank (Isabelle) Dougherty,
Port' Albert;, Mrs. Dougall (Grace)
Clutton, Goderich; and Mrs. Leon-
ard (Elma) Jenkins, Goderich; '42
grandchildren and 17 great grand-
children; two - brothers, Leslie,
Huronview and Oliver of Ripley;
and one sister, Mrs. Frank (Evelyn)
Wilcox of Goderich. She was
predeceased by one daughter
Esther in 1925, also sister Mrs.
Fred (Adeline) Ritchie, Ashfield
Township_ and •one sister and
brother in infancy.
Rev. R. Brubacher .officiated for
the service held at the Arthur
Funeral Home with interment
taking place in the Dungannon
Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim
Smith, Jim. Nivins, Keith Hardy,
Ellison Hodgins, Russel Brindley
and Allan Dickson. Flowerbearers
were Scott Jenkins, Darryl Clutton
and Gerald . Nivins. •

FUND RAISING CAMPAIGN
For Lucknow Medical Centre Furnishings & Permanent Equipment
A canvass of Lucknow and surrounding area will begin -Thursday,
April 24 and continue through the next two weeks
Donations will also be accepted at the Bank of Mont-
real, Lucknow, at the Lucknow Sentinel, Lucknow -or by
mail to Jim Peterson, Treasurer, LuCknow.
Cheques are to be made payable to the Lucknow and
District Kinsmen Medical Centre Fund.
Members of the club will carry identification.
Donations will be published in the Lucknow Sentinel.
Organizations or individuals wishing to contribute to-
wards specific equipment, call Tony Johnstone 528-3811.
Receipts will be issued for donations of • $5.00 and over, for income tax purposes.
The Kinsmen Club of Lucknow hope that you will help us to provide
furnishings and equipment for the new Medical Centie. It is our goal to
give our Doctors the best possible equipment to, serve the community. When
a 'member of the Club calls on you, give your support. The facilities will
help both young and old.
