meeting of Lucknow Town and
Country Club was conducted by the
pregident, P.A. Murray.
After cards and lunch, the
program committee passed out
small wrapped presents for every-
one. It being the first of April - you

Herd In Bruce
The Dairy Herd Improvement
Association of Jerrold Beach,
Paisley and. Ray Pennington,
Teeswater held their annual meet-
ing and banquet on Friday, March
21 in the Chepstow Catholic Church
with 95 members and wives in
attendance.
Awards were presented by Mr.
Pennington to herds in his associa-
tion. The herd of •Alan Whytock,
Teeswater, received the certificate
for the highest B.C.A. (147) and
the award for the highest fat
production per cow. The herd 'of
David E. Ireland and Sons,
Teeswater received the certificate
for the greatest increase in B.C.A.
and the ,award for the greatest
increase in fat production Per cow.
The herd of the late Peter de Boer,
Teeswater received the award for
the highest increase in milk
pfoduction; donated by Norman
McKee of United. Breeders, Form-
osa.
Jerrold Beech made the presen.
tation of awards to his association.
Lloyd Brown, Chesley received the
certificate for the highest B,C.A.
(144.5). The herd of Henry Pope,
Paisley received the awards for the
greatest increase in B.C.A.
Prizes donated by Paisley Co-op
and Teeswater' Creamery were won
by Lorne Fischer, Wingham; Mrs.
Al Herron, Tara and Alan .Whyt-
ock, Teeswater.
Lorne Marshall, Kirkton, Reg-
ional Supervisor , introduced the
head table and spoke on the
D.H .1. A . program.
Denis Ottish and Rick Upfold,
Extension Branch, Walkerton com-
mented on the milk incentive
program, atrazine residues in soil
and on the use of herbicides and
minerals.
Ray Pennington introduced Mt. '
and Mrs. Ron Hill, Teeswater, who
showed slides and gave a very
interesting commentary on their
trip to Germany.
Jerrold Beech thanked the
speaker.

In 1915 Club
Allan Farrell of Huron Township
has in his possession a booklet
published in 1915 by the Ontario
Curling Association listing a var-
iety of : interesting information
including the names of curlers on
clubs throughout the province.
The Lucknow Club is listed with
