Atoms -End Season With Family Night At Arena On Monday, April 7, the Atom hockey team held a family night at the arena. The fathers and mothers played the bpys, ending a very good season. The score ended 5-4 for the parents with the Atcinis giving them the game. Grand Championship series against Mount Forest. Lucknow, the "D" category champs in the W.O.A.A. defeated Arthur, the "DD" champs, in two straight games. The first game in Lucknow ended in a 12-2 win and Lucknow won the second game in Arthur Sunday by a. 7-2 count. Lucknow is uncertain of when the series will start with Mount Forest, the W.O.A.A. '"C'! champs. Mount •Forest is presently in O.M.H.A. competition and having difficulty completing because of storm conditions which' have made it impossible to play on some. occasions. Fleas Have 35 Win 5 Lost Recoed In Season Play On Tuesday, April 1st, the Flea hockey team held their annual family Fun Nite. The evening started off with the Fleas playing their parents in a most exciting, hockey game. The score of the game was '.3-2 in favour of the Fleas, as they proved to be "too" much for the mothers and fathers. After the game, the Fleas presented gifts of appreciation to their manager and coaches. A skating party, followed by a bountiful lunch, completed a most enjoyable evening; On April 5th, the Fleas played their last game, with Belgrave providing the competition.. The score of thisgame was 4-0 in favour of Lucknow. The goals were scored by Min Peterson 2, Grant Murray 1 and Jamie Here 1 with assists going to Don. The game was necessary due to' the fact that both teams had finished their consolation series with an equal number of points. Paisley received the trophy. The Lucknow boys couldn't seem to put their firepower in motion'. In the original home and home series, each team had won one game. Lucknow had a number of shots on goal, but the Paisley nettninder turned them back.. Scoring were Steve Hamilton, Grant Gilchrist, and Eric Cayley from Mark Frayne and lianny Londry. , • , A good number of fans travelled to Teeswater for the game. Referee was Margaret Machan of Kincardine. Two teams, Lucknow and Wing- ham, played. In the 1st set, Lucknow won both games, 15-6, 15-9. 2nd set, Lucknow won This past week end was hockey Week end in Ripley; with 2 games being played against Ennismore for the OMHA Juvenile "E" title. Saturday night the score was 8-4 in Ripley's favour, with goals 'by David MacDonald 3, Johnny Elliott 3, Mike Gallant 1 and. Danny Walden 1. • Sunday the score was 4-3, but unfortunately it was Ennismore that scored the 4 goals. David MacDonald • scored twice, and Johnny Elliott once. This best 3 out of 5 series goes to Ennismore Saturday night at 7, Sunday at 2, and if a 5th game is needed, it will be in Ennismore on the 19th.
