We welcome Mrs. Johnson to
• our Grade One class, for this term,
and wish Mrs. MacKenzie the best
in the next few weeks./
Snow again has covered the
ground, but we still have our game
of soccer.
Easter vacation makes us think
that it won't be long till the year is
over.
Robins have. been seen on the
playgrounds, even with the wintery
weather.

Pictured on the front of the
Kincardine paper last week was
Gerry Cover. Gerry, along with his
wife Connie, operate the Photo-
graphic and Camera Shop on
Kincardine's main street. Gerry is
shown in the pilopseat of his own
airplane and had just made his first
solo flight, at the airfield north of
Kincardine. Of interest to the
people of. this area is the fact that
Mr. and Mrs. Cover are residents
of the sixth concession west in
Huron Township - the former
Sutherland farm back a number of
years ago and more recently that of
Mr. and Mrs. John MacMurchy -
that is before Jack and Helen
became residents of Lucknow. For
further details see the Kincardine
News, March 28 where it has the
article and picture.. Their two
children are Christine and Steven.

The whole community was sorry
and concerned when it was learned
that John Walden had 'been
seriously injured in a car accident
at Pine River. Johnny was making
a wonderful recovery from ac-
cidentally being run over by a
bulldozer. near Reid's . Corners
about two years ago. John spent
many Months in St. Joe's in London
and now he is back there. It is
sincerely hoped that the doctors
and nurses can, once more bring
Johnny around. He was rushed to
Kincardine and District Hospital by
ambulance from the scene of the
accident. Here Dr. J. B. Tyndall
made preliminary examination in-
chiding x-rays and treatment
before transfer to London. John, is
the son of Mr. and Mrs.. Leroy
Walden of Pine River and the
accident only occurred a fraction of
a mile from the home farm. This
writer has always regarded this
intersection by Gordon Cameron's
Pine River Store, namely 21
Highway and the 8th concession, as
an extremely hazardous place - to
be avoided if at all' possible. But
then it seems all intersections with
Highway 21 fall into this category.
