Retires From
Limousin Board
The BOard of directors of the
Ontario Limousin Association was
expanded from 9 to 11 members at
the annual meeting of the Associa-
tion held this week at Guelph.
As a result of the, expansion, five
directors were elected at the
meeting namely: Dennis Cluley, R.
R. No. 1 Kincardine (Re-elected);
Laurie Stanton, Hyde Park (Re-
elected); Peter Richards, Rock-
wood; Wilfrid Rogers, 4Orton;
Angus Campbell, lona Station.
At a directors' meeting following
the general meeting, Dennis Cluley
was named president, succeeding
Abner Martin who retired from the
position of president because of
pressure of other agricultural
activities. Laurie Stanton was,
re-elected vice-president, Abner
Martin was named" treasurer' and
.Peter Richards named as secretary.
At the dinner • following the
meeting, four awards were pres-
ented to 4-H members who won
their•various calf competitions with
a Limousin Cross calf. They were:
Brian Cullen, Neustadt; Pauline
Weber, Mildmay; Barry Fisher,
Mildmay; David Filson, Detifield.
• Joe Hasson of Ariss was
presented with a , cheque for
$500.00 in recognitiun of 'his
winning the championship carcass
at. the Royal Agricultural Winter
Fair, also ,with a Limousin Cross
steer.
Tribute was paid by all' those in
attendance to 'John Howard of
Lucknow, a retiring member of the
board, for his 'work on behalf of
Limousin in Ontario.
Dennis Cluley, the new elected
president, said that it is important
that the breed become better
known in the province and advocat-
ed local meetings throughout • the
province to give feeders and
breeders an opportunity of discus-
ing Limousin cattle with large
Limousin breeders within the
province,

The bride is the youngest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Carter, Edward Street, Wingham,
formerly of Holyrood. The groom
is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs.
Hribert Brebner, R. R. 1 Wingham,
formerly of Sarnia.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride wore a ' floor-
length gown of white satin, long
sleeves, high neckline with A-line
skirt. Two rows of.alencon. lace and
daisies adorned her dress front and
back, her neck and hemline. She
wore a long chapel veil of Tierre
nylon held by a tiara trimmed with
sequins and pearls. The veil was
trimmed with daisy lace as
trimmed her dress. She carried a
cascade bouquet of one dozen red
roses, white carnations and baby
breath.
Mrs. Marlene Bailey of Walker-
ton, elder sister. of the bride, was
matron of honour. She wore a
sheer flowered nylon over green
taffeta floor-length gown, gathered
lace trimmed the neck-line and
down the front to the waist, with
long sleeves and full gathered
skirt. • She carried a cascade of
artificial white and yellow, roses,
white carnations and white ,. and
yellow daisies with green bows and
net.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Lorri
Bell of Forest, cousin of the groom,
Mrs. Eleanor McLeod of Walker-
ton, eldest sister of the !vide and
Mrs. Jo-Ann Carter of Walkerton,
sister-in-law of the bride. Their
dresses and flowers were identical
to the matron of honour.
Bruce Brebner of R. R. 1
Wingham, only brother of the
groom, was groomsman. Ushers
were George Carter, R. R. 3
Holyrood, Peter R. Carter, Walker:
ton, brothers of the bride and
Raymond Parks, R. R. 3 Teeswater,
cousin of the groom.
- The groom and groomsman
wore white adventure tuxedos
trimmed with black velvet, white
ruffled shirts with black trim, black

admitted to Guelph Hospital,
where,he will undergo. surgery on a
tooth..
On the Week. end' Mr. and Mrs.
Pat Donnelly and ' Angeia of
Streetsville brought her sister
Clara Milligan, who .had spent the
holiday week with thein,. to her
home' here and visited with 'her
parents; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Wigan.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Vincent of
Loidon were week end visitors with
Mr.. and Mrs. George Webster.
Mr. and Mrs. George Webster
visited • last week with their
daughter of Mrs. Clara Rutledge
of Clinton; while her husband Was
working at Simcoe.
On Sunday; Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Rintoul, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Robinson of Belgrave and 'Mr. and
Mrs. Mack ' Cardiff of Brussels
visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs;
Harry Gutoskie and family of
,Kitchener and celebrated Mich-
elle's third birthday.

Miss Mary Lou Adams of Blyth
spent Saturday evening with her
parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Adams
and family. •
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harding of
Kitchener visited recently with his
sister, Mrs. Dalton Schultz, and
Mr, Schultz.
'Miss Gayle Kay of Kitchener on
Saturday brought her niece Wendy
Kay; who had visited with her last
week, to her nonce here and
returned' Sunday afternoon to
Kitchener. .
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moss of
Plattsville spent the week end with
her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ben
McClenaghan.
Mr. and Mrs. Pickard and
family, who purchased the former
Frank Pattison farm on 2nd
Concession of Kinloss, are in the
process of moving to their new
home. They urine from the vicinity
of Rockwood.
The community wishes Mrs. Dan.
Tiffin, a patient' at Wingham and
District Hospital, a' speedy recov-
ery.
We are pleased to report that
Mrs. John L. Currie returned home
'on Suriday from Kitchener HosPit-
al. Her grandsons, Billie and
Bobbie Toth l of Kitchener, are
spending the school holidays with
their grandparents.
Jim Orr of London called on his
mother Mrs. Wm. Orr, a patient at
Wingham Hospital, and on Mr. and
Mts. John L. Currie of Wingham
and Bob Orr of Langside.
Bob Stauffer of London, agent
for Maico Hearing Aid, was a caller
on Monday at the home of Mr. and .
Mrs. Victor Emerson.
Mrs. George Fisher on Sunday
accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Eldon
Lowry of Pine River to the home of
their daughter Mrs. Elmer Mac-
Kenzie and Mr. ' MacKenzie of
Mount Forest. They also attended
the Easter Service at St. Pauls
Lutheran Church, Ayton, and
called on Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Fisher and family.
On Friday evening Curries
School euchre party was held at the
Beigrave Arena where 8 tables
enjoyed the party. Those winning
prizes were: high lady Mrs.
Congram, low Mrs. Alex Robert:
son; high gent John L. Currie, low
Howard Walker. Draw prizes were
won by Mrs. ,Leonard James and
Lawrence Taylor. Those sponsor-
ing the party were Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Pattison and Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Weber, who served lunch.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Walker and
Mr. and Mrs. Galbraith will be in
charge of 'the next party. fl

Following the ceremony a wed-
ding supper was held in the Parish
Hall of St. Pauls Church for the
bridal party and immediate family.
The three-tier wedding cake along
with 'lighted candles and vases of
yellow daisieS and white and,yellow
mums decorated the tables.
Due to ill health Mrs. Emily
Donaldson, Bristol Terrace, Wing-
ham, grandniother of the bride and
Mrs. Debbie Parks, R. R. 1
Wingham, grandmother ,.of the
groom, were unable to attend.
One hundred and fifty guests
attended the wedding reception at
the Canadian Legion Hall, Wing-
ham, where the Westernaires of
Mildrriay provided music for danc-
ing.
The bride's mother choie a blue
fortrel street length dress with
white accessories. The groom's
mother chose a red fortrel street
length dress with black accessor-
ies. They ,both wore corsages of
white daisies and white baby
br,eath.
For travelling the bride wore a
three-piece white and red checker-
ed fortrel pant suit, black accessor-
ies and corsage of white roses and
white carnations. Following a
wedding trip to Niagara Falls the
couple will reside at R. R. 1

London, Sarnia, Forest, Petrolia,
Hanover, Walkerton, Teeswater,
Pinkerton, Tiverton, Lucknow,
Ffolyrood, DorChester, Listowel,
Bluevale, Wingham and surround-
ing. area.
Previous to her marriage the
bride was honoured at two miscel-
laneous -showers, one at the home
of the bride's parents put on by the
bridesmaids where neighbours (old
and new), friends and • relatives
attended. Mts. Ruby Huygen,
Walkerton, entertained the friends
of the bride . of the Cry-O-Vac
Department of Canada Packers.
The bride received many lovely and
useful gifts.
Mr. and Peter Carter held
the rehearsal party at their home
on Edward Su eet, Wingham.
Lighted white tapered candles
and vases of yellow daisies and
white and yellow mums decorated
the altar of St. Paul's Anglican
Church, Wingham on Saturday,
March 1, 1975, at 3 o'clock when
Frances Aileen Carter and Bryan
Charles Brebner exchanged vows
in a double-ring ceremony per-
formed by 'Rev. T. K. Hawthorn.
