The Bruce-Grey County Separate
School Board approved motions at
their March regular meeting, ,to
initiate the establishment of a"
school in the town of Kincardine.
The Ministry of Education allocat-
ed $537,000 to the ,board for this
purpose in the 1975 Capital
Forecast. Requests for building
proposal approval and capital funds
for site purchase will be submitted
to the Ministry. An ad hoc
committee was appointed to select.
and recommend a .site fol. the
school, to the board. The school
. will consist of five classrooms,
kindergarten and general, purpose
rooms, health room and a library
resource area.
, The board consented to apply for
a grant under the Experience '75
grant program to conduct a
camping program for grades 7 and
8 students at a site south of Ay-ton.
The facilities are owned by a
Windsor Boy Scout group and
would be rented for the months of
May and Junk. The maximum
amount of grant available under
the program is $5,000.
