council meeting in /the absence. of
Reeve George Joynt who was
upstairs in the town hall at the time
attending another meeting of area
municipalities concerning fire serv-
ices.
Council expressed a concern
about cars parked on both sides of
Havelock Street in the vicinity of
the Lucknow Presbyterian, Luck-
now United and Lucknow Roman
Catholic Churches, as well as the
Bowling Alley, and on Outram
Street near the Anglican Church.
While the problem is not serious in
. good weather months, winter`time
presents occasions when there is
not enough width to get the Fire
Truck through. The places in
question were to be asked, during
the winter months, to limit parking
to one side of the street as a safety
and precautionary Measure.
Lucknow Agricultural Society
was voted a grant of $500, the sante
as last year. The approval was not
unanimous. with Councillor Gary
Ritchie registering an opposing
vote.

assistance.
So it seems that Kinloss Town-
ship and particularly, the south
part, is the place to farm if you are
hoping for multiple births among
your cattle.
The 1975 triplets at Gilchrist's
were born on March 8 and were
about normal size. The mother was
A Holstein and the calves are
Hereford-Holstein cross. Two sets
of twin calves were also born at the
Gilchrist farm about the time of the
triplets.
The 1.957 triplets at the Gilchrist
farm were from a Shorthorn cow.
There is no blood relationship in
the two sets.
