Bill Hunter, chairman of the
Lucknow Recreation Committee
and 'Cliff Livingston, representing
the Lucknow Tractor Pull Associa-
tion, met with . Lucknow Village
Council recently to discuss drain-
age of the Caledonian Park.
Cliff explained that the local
Tractor Pull group had decided
againt any sanctioned pulls this
year but that they, hoped to stage
about three "out of the field" pulls
with the first one tentatively slated
for about July.. °
He asked council ' about its
intentions in work at the park and
indicated that, if the village did not
plan to do any drainage work, that
the tractor pullers group would, like
permission to go ahead and do
some drainage work themselves to
fit a track out for their needs.
If council decide to do drainage
work, it was stated that the tractor
pull group would be willing to
provide tile for their section of the
park.
It was pointed out that the
Lucknow Kinsmen Club is willing
to provide .steel towers and
necessary wiring for the new
lighting at the ball park which was
purchased from reunion profit, but
wish the grounds properly . drained
before an investment of this
amount is undertaken.
Bill Hunter, as chairman of the
recreation, pointed out the urgent
need for improved drainage at the
park for bail diamond purposes, as
well as to provide the best possible
site before proceeding with the new
lighting.
Following discuSsion by. council,
it was agreed ,that an engineer be
contacted at once to make an
assessment of the park 'as early as
possible so that .the necessary
drainage plans might proceed
when weather permits.

lor, acted as chairman - for the

Veterinarian Dr. 11;ock Cleland
of Lucknow delivered both sets of
tripleii, the first in 1957 for Fred
Gilchrist and the second, just a
couple of weeks ago for his son Bob
Gilchrist. In 25 year...' of practice,
these are the only occasions when
Brock has been called on to assist
in delivery of triplets, an indication
of the rarity of triplet births.
On another occasion just recent-

out any assistance. 'About six years
ago, on the farm of Geert de Jong
