tion. held their annual meeting
recently and elected the following
officers: President, Austin Martin.

'Kincardine; '2nd Vice President,
Ronald Pollock, Paisley; Secretary-
treasurer, Ken Koppel, Tiverton.
Austin Martin is the representa-
tive from six counties to prepare
resolutions for the Provincial
convention.
Keith Weeder' of Paisley, chair-
man of the Pork Producers
Association, represents Bruce
County on the Provincial Board.

Cost $16,000
Three adjacent rural munieipalit-
ies, the townships of Ashfield,
West Wawanosh and Kinloss, have
purchased a new water tanker'truck
for rural fire fighting purpoSes.
The decision was reached at a
meeting on Thursday afternoon of
last week.
Cost of the new truck, completely
equipped, will be approximately
$16,000. It will be shared on a
one-third basis by each municipal-
ity,

achievement within tie club and .at
a zone and district level. The three
members stood 1, 2, 3 in the Zone.

build and install fittings on the
1200 gallon tank which will be
mounted on the truck.. Arrange-
ments will be, made with a fire
protection supply houSe for the
necessary fittings, portable pump.
and a porta tank, a 1000 gallon
portable tank which can be quickly
erected at the scene of a fire while
the , tanker truck goes to a water
supply source to be refilled.
The new tanker truck will: be

twenty-five dollats 'to the Interna-
tional Relations Project, the , build-
ing of a Leprosy Ward at the Port
Moresby General Hospital in.
Papua, New Guinea. The ward is
to be set up for the treatment of
disease.
Tickets for the Annual Kinsmen
Stanley Cup Draw are now
available.
The, club is presently planning
the drive for 'funds for the medical
centre furnishings and equipment.

ing Club Achievement Night was a
big event for all club members,
particularly the very young *begin-

The office of Crawford Douglas,
M.P. would like to announce that
his Bill No. C-228 passed 2nd and
3rd reading in the House of
Comnions On Tuesday, 'March 4.
The Bill will change the name of
the constituency from the riding of
Bruce 'to the riding of Bruee-Grey
and will take effect 'in a few 'days
time when it receives royal assent.

Illness and staff shortages at The
Sentinel ha's resulted in consider-
able news material not being
included in this week's paper.
A 3 1/2 hour' mechanical problem
on Monday afternoon added to the
problems and frustrations.
News copy was handled as time
permitted and we 'apologize for the
articles we were forced to leave out
this week.

Gary Dewitt, Vice-Principal at
Exeter . Public school, his been
appointed Acting Principal ' at
Brookside PubliC SchoOl 'for the ,
school year " 1975-76 while the
present principal William. Black is"
on sabbatical , leave. Mr. Jewitt's
work at Brookside will 'commence
with the Fall School term.
He is a native of 'Huron County
and has taught in Huron County
schools since 1963. His experience
includes 3 years as a Teacher at
Hohnesville Public School, 2 years
as: a Teadier at Clinton Public
School, 5 years as Vice-Principal at
Seaforth Public School and 2 years
as Vice-Principal at Exeter Public
Sehool.
Bill Black will be working
towards a Master of Education in
-Guidance at a university as yet not
determined. In May' and June of
1976, on behalf of the Huron
County Board of Education, he will
be studying community use of
schools and will be visiting :'various
points in Ontario and . United States
presently involved in this program.
The knowledge gained. both in
the ,,,,,Gnidance and community
Schools study, will be used at
Brookside and on a county level.
Earl Bogie Passes
Earl Bogie of Sheppardton in
Ashfield Township died ThurSday
at Victoria Hospital. London. after
a lengthy illness. He was 70 years
of age.
The funeral was held Monday at
the McCallum Funeral Home,
Goderich with temporary entomb-
ment at Colborne Cemetery Maus-
oletim.
40 Attend
Public Meeting
About 40 Kinloss Township
ratepayers met at the Holyrood
Hall on Wednesday evening of last
week to discuss the Restricted. Area
Zoning Bylaw which has been
prepared for the municipality by
the firm of M. M. Dillon.
Two representatives of the Dillon
firm were present at the meeting to
answer questions and a represent-
ative was present at the township
office the next day to help explain
the bylaw.
The objections were listed for
further study before the bylaw
becomes official policy in Kinloss.

Lucknow C.G.I.T. 'has just rec-
eived a 'progress report, on their
foster child Marleny Millones of
Chimbote, Peru. She is 8 years old
and attends first grade, along with
her 10 year old sister Rosa who is in
third grade. They live with their 64
year old grandmother 'who weaves
hats to make $18.60 a month. An
uncle , contributes $9.30, making
their monthly income $27.90.
Their two room house is made of
