Mr. and.Mrs. Don McKenzie and
Girvin Reed attended the Good
Roads Convention in Toronto last
Monday. Coming home they
encountered very poor driving
conditions and stayed overnight
with Mr. and Mrs. Don Watson,
Listowel. Mrs. Watson is Mr. and
Mrs. McKenzie's daughter, Don-
na.
Mr. and Mrs. Chester Caswell of
Success, Saskatchewan, visited last
week end with her aunt, Mrs.
Lorne Ivers and with Mr. Ivers in
University Hospital, London. Mrs.
Caswell (nee Ada Plunkett) stayed
with Mrs. Ivers last week.

Parky Wiggins has been indis-k''
posed for some time after having
fallen and broken a rib. Mrs.
Wiggins is not in the best of health
either.' . •
Mrs. Jack 'Curran spent Monday
afternoon with Mrs. Cecil Blake,
wbo haS been suffering with
arthritis the last two weeks or so.
Mr. 'and Mrs. Palmer Kilpatrick of
Toronto and Miss; Beth McConnell
were also recent visitors.
Tuesday was Professional Devel-
opment Day for' the teachers of
Huron and . those from Brookside
met at Robertson School in
Goderich with the other -teachers
of this section of the county. On.
Wednesday there were no buses
running to Brookside due to,
inclement weather and treacherous
roads,
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Naylor of
Sarnia visited on the week end with
her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ben '
Park. .
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Henderson
and family of Mississauga spent
the week end with her father,
Harvey Alton. Paul •has not been
able to play hockey recently
because of pulled 'muscles, in his
leg.
Mrs. Rick Park is wearing a cast
for a few weeks, having torn the
ligaments in:' her ankle in a fall at
home.
Sympathy is extended to Mrs.
Lillian MacDonald on the death of
Mrs. Otto Peterson, Lucknow,
whose sister, BeSsie Stewart, is
married to Mrs. MacDonald's son
RoSs.
Mr. and Mrs. Robt, Irvin spent
the week end with their daughter
Betty and her husband, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Stirling and family of
Thamesville. They attended bap-.
tism service .on Sunday for Harold
Robert Sterling, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred, Sterling.
Gerry Bete and Murray Simpson
of Whitechurch motored to Florida
during the Winter break at Fan-
shawe and spent a week camping
there. While visiting Murray's
uncle and seeing 'greyhound races
in St. Petersburg they met. Ray-
mond Finnigan and Were invited to
his home. It's a small world, after
all!

and David, Mr.. and Mrs. Terry
Hodges, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Sillib
were among those who took part in
a Snowmobile Poker Rally at St.
Helens from 1.30 - 4 on Sunday
afternoon.

ed a secretarial position at Wing-
ham Hospital.

Gardens, Disneyworld • and Sul-
phur Springs - a very enjoyable
trip.

Evan MCQuillin is a patient in
Wingham and District Hospital
following an accident on Wednes-
day on Righway 86. He ,was hit by
a car in a blinding snow storm.
Mr. and Mrs. LOrne Forster,
Wray and Wayne and Wm. Forster
were Sunday dinner: guests with
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Forster.
