spending this. week at Clearwater,
Florida, with Mr. and Mrs. Graham
Pinkney of Ajax and Mr. and MrS..
Ted Collyer of - Kinloss. She
motored south with Jack and
' Norma McDonagh of Lucknow and
will return by plane.
Mr. and Mrs., Oliver Glenn
visited in Toronto last week with
Lenore's sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Hoffman. While there
' Oliver attended the Good Roads
Convention at the Royal .York
Hotel.
P. M. Johnstone of Lucknow is
visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Don
Johnstone in Islington and Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Snelgrove in Waterloo.
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Hunter of
Lucknow visited recently in Peffer-
law with their son Mr. and Mrs.
Larry Hunter and children.
Mrs. John Carter of Lucknow
returned to her home last week
from University Hospital, London,
where she was a patient for two
weeks following surgery.
Mrs. Lorne Woods returned
home on the week end from a five
week holiday at Daytona Beach,
Florida and a month visiting her
daughter Mr. and Mrs. ' Roy
Hawley and family of Oshawa.
ms's.- Woods was accompanied to
Florida by Mrs. William Ruthet-
ford of 'Goderich.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Crawford
and son trevor, age 6, recently
moved from Listowel to their
new home at the southern outskirts
of the village: Lloyd is manager at
Lucknow District Co-op.
Fran Lemon and Jim Feairs
provided, special music' at the
Sunday morning service at Luck-
now United Church. Miss Lemon is
a teacher at Brookside Public
School. •
Mrs. Harvey Houston of Luck-
now is in Toronto attending a
meeting of the Officer's Confer-
ence executive, and also of the
Federated Women's Institute of
Ontario, March 4th and 5th, at 1200
Bay Street. Mrs. Houston is Public
Relations. Officer of F. W.1.0.
Mrs. John Emerson• of Lucknow
has returned home from Wingham
and District Hospital, where she
was a patient for five weeks..
The Lucknow Women's Institute
will meet on Tuesday, March 11 at
1.15 p.m. in the Town Hall.. There
will be a special speaker.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Fowler of
Goderich were dinner guests on
Sunday with 'Mr. and Mrs. John
Wraith, Lucknow.
Mrs. Rae Myers of Ottawa
visited with' her mother Mrs. Neil
J. MacKenzie, Lucknow for the
past week.
Seriously Injured
In 15 Foot Fall

Bill Percy, who has spent
some time in Western Canada, was
seriously injured at work when he
fell 15 feet and is a patient in the
Royal Alexander Hospital, Edmon-
ton. His many. friends here wish
him a speedy recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson and
Lois and Kim Langford visited last
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. N. E.
Evans and family at Georgetown.
Douglas Palmer of Welland
called on Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Maulden and Keith on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bennett of
Toronto spent the week end With.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Haldenby. Mrs.
Haldenby who has been a patient in
St. 'Joseph's Hospital, London, was
able to return home on Saturday.

Cars were driven by Rev. Doug
Kaufman and Ernest Ackert. They
visited the Sick Children's Hospit-
al, the' Ontario Science Centre and
enjoyed a period of skating on the
outdoor ice surface at Toronto City
Hall: 'Those making the trip were
Sharon Cook, Barbara Henderson,
Lorna Boyle, Mary Lynn' Cayley,
Kathryn' McKim, Susan Thomp-
son, Cathy Brooks; Ruth Alton,
Edith Greer, Grace Alton, Donald

the week of the death of Hank
Parker. The deceased purchased
Gordon Hodgkinson's farm, west of
Kinlough, a few years ago 'and
lived there during the summer and
on week ends, but he passed away.
- Sympathy is extended to the
bereaved.
Mrs. Bob Brooks, Bevan and
Bradley of Listowel visited with her
aunt, Miss Winnifred Percy.
John and Hugh Lane have gone
to Florida for a winter holiday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott and his
sister' Mrs. Mary MacDonald of
Ripley spent Thursday in Toronto.
Jeannette Barr and Susan Wil-
son spent last week end with Miss
Betty Hamilton at Niagara.

Ross is a patient in the Wingham
and District Hospital. We wish him
improved health.
Mrs. Joe Burns (Joan McKin-
non) of. Dayton, Ohio visited with
Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Murray. She
was with her father Archie
McKinnon, who underwent surg-
ery and is a patient in the Wingham
and District Hospital.

The Lurgan weekly leriten medi-
tation and communion service was
held on Monday evening at the
, home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott.

Jack Scott went to St. Joseph's
Hospital, London On Thursday,
where he will undergo foot
surgery. We wish .him 'a good
recovery. Mrs. Scott will remain in
the city while he is hospitali;ed.

The school children had a holiday
Wednesday due to stormy weather
and poor visibility.

Joanne Bongertman spent Wed-
nesday with Cathy' Stevers.
Mr. and Mrs., Wesley Young
visited Mr. and Mrs. Bob Woodi-
son of Tiverton in Wingham
Hospital where they are, both
patients after their car ran into a
snowplow in the Whitechurch
area. They also visited Mrs. Orr
and Peter de Boer of this district
who are also patients in the
hospital. Mrs. Young is a cousin of
Mrs. Woodison.
A farnily gathering was held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Young on Saturday, March 1st.
Twenty one guests were *sent for
dinner while more relatives called
in the evening when cards and a
social time were enjoyed. Guests
were present from Toronto, Wing-
ham, Belgrave and Langside.
Mrs. Don Robertson, Liane and
Heather and Mrs. W. Osbnnd of
London called at the home of Jim
Moffat on Saturday..
The Langside Whitechurch
Young Peoples met' at the White-
church Presbyterian Church on
Sunday evening.
A special centennial service is
kbeing planned for Langside Church
on Sunday, March 23 with lunch' to
be served after the service.
