Goals were scored by Grant Murray from Paul Johnstone and"Lawrence Clark; Donnie Peterson from Jamie Here and Lynn Murray; Steve Alton from Grant Murray. Saturday night the score was 1-0 and through some excellent goal- tending by • Paul Jerome, the local • boys held on to win another game. Todd Ritchie, assisted by Lynn Murray and Brian DeGroot, scored the only goal of .the game. . This Saturday will feature the Annual Flea Hockey Tournament. Bantams Play Paisley, Milverton Lucknow Bantams continue to dazzle their opposition with their goal scoring ability. This past week- the Mildmay Bantams were on •the receiving end. Tuesday night in Lucknow, • the local boys flashed the red light nine times with goal-tenders Roddy -Havens and Fred Hovvald picking up a shutout: Scoring were Eric Cayle-y; titTo goals; Mark- Frayne,- two goals; Grant Gilchrist, two goals;,, Jim• Clark, Steve Hamilton and 'Tom Sinnett, one goal each. On Thursday night, in Mildmay, the Lucknow marksmen sent ten goals past the Mildmay netminder. Three -goals got by the Lucknow netminding duo. LucknoW now opens a home ana home series with Paisley • and Milverton. • At stake is the new consolation trophy. The team with the most wins will take home the trophy. Ripley Juveniles Win "E" Title For the sixth straight year, the Ripley Juvenile .hockey team won the W.O.A.A. "E" trophy. George Foulon, Winghain pres- ented the trophy to team captain Greg Liddle Sunday after the team had put Tiverton out in 3 straight games. . Johnny Elliott scored 3 goals, Rick Smith 2 and Donald Harkness, Roger Farrell, Mike Gallant, Dave MacDonald and Courtney Liddle each scored once to make it a 10-3 victory. Ripley .now play Hanover in the W.O.A.A. Grand Championship series and go into the 0..NI:H.A. playdowns as, well. Old Tyrne music was provided by Elsie Henderson, Norman Spelt, Jerry Collins and Philip Regier with musical numbers by the 20 member Huronview Rhythm Band. Willa Taylor showed coloured slide pictures of Florida, Pinelake and local scenes for the Family Night program. Mrs. Elsie Hend- erson entertained before and after the pictures with melodies on her portable organ. .THE GRIND To meet the high cost of liv- ing today, the imagination isn't the only thing that has to work. Lucknow and Mildmay Juven- iles have been battling it out for the "D" Championship in W.O.A.A. play. The series is now locked at two games each with the deciding game in LucknOw this Thursday, Febru- ary 27th at 8.30 p.m. In the first game' in Lucknow, Mildmay were victorious by a 12-8 score. Lucknow won the second game in Mildmay Saturday by a 12-3 score. On Sunday, in Lucknow, Lucknow won S-2 only to lose Monday's game in' Mildmay by a 7-2 score. Lack of time on Tuesday prevented a complete scoring summary for each game. News and Views From Huronview The January birthday party at HuronvieW was held in the auditor- ium and owing to weather condi- tions the lunch and gifts were provided by the Blyth Women's Institute and the program and party by the Huronview staff.
