Friends of Mrs. Art Haldenby are sorry to know that she was a patient in the Wingham 'and District Hospital during the past week. The Executive, at a recent meeting, has placed an order for a replace- ment compressor whiCh, as is customary with so many items these days, is subject to uncertain delivery. Another successful. Sweetheart bonspiel was concluded on Satur- day with Howard and Marge here. Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Evans and family of Erin visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson and Lois. Several in this area have been confined to their homes with flu and bad colds. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fair at Ripley on. Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Laird Mann and family of Washago visited over the week end with the Shaw families. Week end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Maulden and Keith were Mr. and Mrs. Stan Wright of Glen Orchard. The Rev. R. W. Rhody and Mrs. Rhody of Milton, Pennsylvania and Mrs. William Rhody of Hanover visited with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rhody. Mrs. Wm. MacPherson of Holy- rood spent last week in Hamilton visiting with her brother and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wilson.
