Last Sunday ,was February the
second, hence Ground Hog day. At
first it seemed that it would be
cloudy and have lots of snow
flurries. However, at noon the sky'
cleared and sun was able to shine • for some hours. Any ground hogs
out and around would be able to
see their shadows;hence there will
be six weeks more of winter for us.
This will be fine as it means an
early spring - starting -Sunday,
March 16 the day before St.
Patrick's Day.'

This writing hand is feeling the
effects of landing on the slippery
ice at "Albert corners" at Ripley's
main intersection last Thursday
morning - bruises and jammed
carpal bones in tile right wrist. Oh
well, January is over and winter is
progressing on its way. The hours
of daylight are getting noticeably
longer. So here is hoping that we
can survive the colds, the flu', and
the cabin fever blues of winter.
