February 1st and 2nd, a bus will'
leave Ripley and a bus will leaVe
Teeswater headed in the direction
of the Royal York Hotel, in Toronto,
where we will let loose and show off
all• our amazing talents. 'This year
we have the 4 part choir, composed
of about 40 young people, from
Teeswater and Ripley. There is an '
old time square dancing group
sauntering down to show off their
footwork. There are' entries in
soloist competitions; duets, photo-
graphy and slide projection, arts

BRIEFS FROM COUNTY
ANNUAL MEETING %
The directorate of the Bruce
County Junior Farmers held their
regular and annual meeting on
Monday, January 20, in • the
O.M.A:F. board room, Walkerton.
The Directorate consists of a
President, Vice. President, Secret-
ary-Treasurer, Provincial Director,
Alternate Provincial Director and
the president, and two representa-
tives from each club. ' There are
seven , clubs in .Bruce County;
Ripley, Teeswater, Mildmay, Ches-
ley, Tara, Port Elgin, Paisley,
which are represented at this
meeting. The regular meeting
dealt with , yearly reports and
unfinished business.
Past president •Bill Collins pres-
ided over the annual meeting and
election of officers. Mary Alexand-
er of Tara was not opposed as she
was re-elected for a second term as
President of the County. A
member of the Ripley Club; Jim •
Farrell was elected as vice presid-
ent, while Bill Davis of Paisley
grabbed up the job 'of secretary-
treasurer. Retiring from these two
positions is Brian Beech of Port
Elgin, who will take up a new duty
as husband to Edith Cummings on*
April 26, and Bruce Aitken gave up
the secretary-treasurer job to be
elected Provincial Director for the
upcoming year. Gord Weedon,
who has done a great job for the
County in this capacity, is depart-
ing to Middlesex County to work
with the Extension Branch.
Co-editors, were elected this year
for the County Newsletter "Jagiv-
ire" and are Claire Halliday and
Betty. Hogg. Alternate Provincial
Director for this year is again Bill
Collins.
• Following the annual meeting, a
detailed study • of the rewritten
constitution was conducted by
Gordon Weedon. Several signific-
ant changes were made. Each club
may now have three directors at the
County meetings. A minimum age'
of fourteen was passed after a
lengthy discussion. A copy of the
amended constitution will appear
in the next "Jagivire". A big
thanks , goes to the outgoing
executive who have done much 'to
establish Bruce County as number
"one" in the Province. • Congratu-
lations.and good luck are extended
to the new elected blood on this
year's executive.
STRIKE AND GLITTER

visited with Mrs. McConnell in

Mrs. Evan Keith, Murray and •
Sandra left on Sunday for a week's
holiday in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Jaelc-Needham are
spending 3 weeks in Spain.
Mrs. Evan Keith and Mrs. Ira
Dickie attended the Presbyterial in
Wingham last week.
Walter Dickie •from Toronto and
Douglas Dickie- from Markdale
visited with their parents Mr. and
Mrs. Ira Dickie last week end.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Collyer left on
Sunday for a holiday in Florida.

Festival is held annually with an
expected attendance this year of
-about 3500 -people. It is a
provincial competition with people
from all over Ontario "kipping into
junior farmers".
FRIDAY, JANUARY 31
For the Junior, Farmers going to
Toronto from the Ripley Club,. the
bus will be stopping at the Knotty
Pine Restaurant in Kincardine. At
1:00 p.m. the bus will, leave for
Ripley where it . will stop at the
Township Hall by the High School.
At 1.30' p.m. the bus will leave
Ripley and proceed, to the Walker-
ton District High School. At 2.30
p.m. the bus will leave Walkerton
in the general direction of the Royal
York Hotel in Toronto. Arrival time
approximately 5.00 p.m. Friday,
January 31, 1975. On Friday night
a coffee shop is being held. All day
Saturday -provincial competitions.

Mrs. Bessie MulliSs arrived
home on Saturday after visiting a
week with Mrs. Cousins' of Thank-
esford.—
On Wednesday Mr., and Mrs.
Ted Robinson of Donnybrook were
accompanied to .Alliston by her
mother, Mrs, Ella Johnston of
Winghain. They were at , the
funeral parlor at Alliston, where
Mr. Albert Peacock rested.
Richard Moore of the Lucknow
Pee Wee hockey team informs us
that on Friday evening they "played
in Brussels with a score of 5-4 in
faVor of LucknOw.' On Saturday,
Biussels played. at Lucknow with a,
score 4-1 in favor of Lucknow. On
Thursday, January 30 they play
with' Milverton. Congratulations
boys.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Johnston were
Sunday visitors ' with his mother

were Friday evening visitors with
