MARTHA MARY Y PATTERSON
The death of Martha Mary
Patterson occurred on December 9,
1974, at the. County of • Bruce
General. Hospital, Walkerton after
a prolonged illness. •
She Was' born on the ' second
concession of Huron Township On
January 4, .1893, the 'daughter of
the late William Bell and Catherine
MacPhail. '
In' January, 1915 she was mar-
ried to Andrew Patterson, who_
predeceased her "in 1963. They
farmed On the tenth concession of
Huron Township until they retired
to Ripley in 1960. In January, 1972
she went to reside at her son
Gordon's and on-May 31; 1973 she '
became a resident 'at Brucelea
Haven, Walkerton.
Mrs. Patteson was a member of
St. Andrew's United . Church;' Rip.:
ley. While health permitted she
was, an active member and officer
in the United Church Women and
Women's Institute. Slie was a.
charter member' of Huron's Star
Rebekah Lodge; Ripley, then on
amalgamation a member of the
Hilltop Rebekah Lodge, Bervie.
She was a Past , District Deputy
President of Kincardine District,
recipient of the Degree of Chivalry

service at the Funeral Home
Tuesday night. 'During her life she '
had shown a kindly endearing
nature as attested, by the many
floral.' tributes and expressions of
_sympathy from her many friends
and relatiyes. ' •
She is' survived by two sons and
one daughter,- Arthur Of Agin6ourt,
Gordon' on the 'home fa and
Katherine, Mrs. Burton Col ' s of
Purple Grove. She is also survived
by ten grandchildren, four great
grand-daughters and one sister
Katherine, Mrs. Sam Wismer, of
Waterloo. -
Funeral services: were conducted
from the McLentian-M cereath
Funeral: Home on Wednesday,
December 11 with .' Rev. Cecil
Carnochan officiating. The' pall-
bearers were. Donald MacKay
,RObert RobertSon, James Need-
( ham, Wallace Pollock, Donald
Gillies and Murdock MacDonald.
Flowers were carried by the
grandchildren. Burial was in
