tiploss Women'S MisSionary Soc-
iety was held at the twine of Mrs.
Glenn Noble 'Mrs. Ira. Dickie
opened the meeting with a New
Year's verse. The hymn; Standing
at-the-Portal ,-was- sung; followed by.:
the rePeating of the, Lord's prayer
in Urtison. The worship service
from the Glad Tidings was follow- '
ed, Mrs. Dickie as leader and Mrs.
Herb Baektnn and Mrs. Glenn
Noble ks readers. The hyriin, Send
Thy Light Forth and Thy truth,
was sung and the worship service"
concluded with the offering and
prayer in unison.
Minutes of the last meeting were
re-`,ad. Members were reminded of
the Presbyterial Annual meeting to
be held in St: Andrew's church,.
Wingham on January 20th, ses-
sions at 9 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. South
Kinloss will • be host to the Worl
Day of Prayer on Friday, March 1.
The roll call was answered with a
New Year verse or poem. There
were 16 present. Mrs. Noble
played a lovely piano solo.
The new Study Book for the year
'UnknoWn Country'' was introduc-.
ed to the meeting by Mrs. Leonard
Clarke. This is a Mission Study. A
play was acted by several mem-
bers.. /The Bible Study by Mrs:
Douglas Graham the theme, God
of'. the past, ant and future,
Hebrews 1: chapters 1 and 2,
concluding with a prayer by Mrs.
Philip Steer. and Mrs. Glenn Noble:
The courtesy remarks were given
by. Mrs. Leonard Clarke. The
closing hymn, "As with Gladness
Men of Old, was .sung, and Mrs.
Graham closed the' meeting 'with
prayer. Grace was sung and lunch
served by the hostess and direct-
ors. Mrs. Leonard Clarke and Mrs.
Jim Burt.

Projects for 1975 were discussed.
Mrs. Jas. Ritchie reported for Air
friendship committee and Mrs.
Wilfred Drennan for Christian and
MiSsionary Education. Mrs. W. R.
Hunter made arrangements for a
banquet January 17 and for lunch
at the annual meeting lanuary 26.
Mrs. Walden closed the meeting
with "A New Year's Wish".

The January meeting of Trinity
United/Church Women was held ,at
the home of•• Mrs. Doug Raynard
and opened on January 9 with the.
. singing of the first two verses of
Faith of our Fathers, then. all
repeated the Lord's. Prayer in
unison. • The . president. Mrs.
Charles Wilkins read a. New Year's
poem and the . roll call 'was
answered with the paying of fees

Cameron opened the devotions
With an appropriate verse and
• Hymn. How Firm a Foundation.
Was s'ang< Mrs:. Cameron read
Psalm 17 and led in praYer. Mrs.
Blake Alton read the scripture and.
gave the meditation "Time To
Spend". Mrs. Cameron concluded
the meditation and hymn. Take My
Life and Let lt Be, was sung, Mrs,
Cameron closed the deVotions with
prayer. Mrs. Cameron read art
article "Millions Might Die". Mrs.
Chester Hackett introduced the.
Study Book for 1975. "Mission
Begins With You". The • business
part of the meeting followed and
material was handed out. for 4
quilts and 2• • layettes. . The
programmes were. handed out for
the next year. The bale is to be
' packed after the February meeting,
ankthe ladies were reminded to
save their stampS.
Cameron gave a reading "Kid'
Swapping".. Mrs. Charles Wilkins
led in prayer, the last verse of Faith
of our Fatliers was sung and .all
repeated. the Mizpah benediction
together. Luna was served by the
committee in charge.
Unit 3 of Lucknow United. Church
Women linet at the home of Mrs
Bert Alton on January 7 with 21
members preSent.
Mrs, Glen Walden opened the
meeting with a poem' "The New
Year". The hymn "Take Time To
Be Holy" was sung; followed
the Lord's prayer.
- 'Mrs. James Mathers -had-charge_
of the worship service and pro-
gram. She gave a short,' reading
"Listen to the voice of God, keep a
smile on your lips, and a prayer in
•your heart".-- •
The hymn "Standing at the
Portal". was Sung and scripture
readings from Philippians and
NOM 143 were given by Mrs. Wm.
Bolt. In her meditation she
suggested, that on entering the New
Year, some things such as past
sins, failures, and bad habits
shopld be' left behind, but such,
things as love, gratitude, and
appreciation should be carried

excellent talk explaining the signi-
ficance of Epiphany, one . of the
oldest religious festivals,, The New
Year is a time of looking ahead and'
forgetting what lies behind. Mrs.
Mathers concluded the program
with prayer.
Mrs. Walden thanked the host-
ess and program committee.
Interesting responses were given to
the roll call, "Something 1 want to
do in 1975". Arrangements were
made to hold the February meeting
