completed whereby the law firni of
Goodall and Campbell of Wingham
has Purchased the Sanderson Lad-
ies' and Men's Wear building from
M. L. Sandersortof Goderich. 'The
sale was arranged by McDonagh
Real Estate of lucknow. •
For many years Anne and Mike
Sanderson operated a clothing
business there and resided in the
upstairs apartment. Upon closing
out their business, they , retired to
Goderich and the store has been
vacant since that time.
Robert Campbell of Goodall and
Campbell told the Sentinel Monday
that renovations are in progress on
the main floor of the building and
that their firm would open an office
in' Lucknow as soon as tire
necessary preparations can be
made. The Office will be open on a.

At Age -38
Mrs: Art Yaltbee of, Teeswater,
the former Helen Irwin, passed .
away on Tuesday; Deceniber 31,
1974 in' her. 39th year. She took
suddenly ill'at home and was dead •
upon arrival by ambulance at
Wingham Hospital. Death was..
attributed to. a heart attack.
Funeral service was, held from
the MacPherson Funeral HOme on
Friday, January 3, 1975 at 2 p4 m.
• Interment-was in Tees'water Cem-
etery.
Helen was the daughter of the
late Mr. and'Mrs. Melvin Irwin of
Kinloss' and 'Lucknow. 'She has
been a resident of Teeswater since
her marriage.

On the Saturday preceding
Christmas the long awaited offieial
start of the construction of the new
Ripley-Huron 'Recreation• Complex
was held. It was a historic
afternoon for the Ripley Huron
community here in the southwest
corner of Bruce County by Lake
Htiron's shores. Everything was
quiet and nice in keeping 'with the
resulted in 333 out of an approxi-
mate possible 1480 voters casting
their ballots.
Morley Wall was elected to , the
one council post With 136 votes
followed by Bong* Jarvis with 120
and Ron "Hill with 77 Votes.
The following is a break-down of
the results of the various polls:

Big Hit At,
Orange Parade
The skirl of the bagpipes rang
out through the streets of Miami,
Florida on New Years eve as about'
1•40 pipers, and druminers from this
part' of Ontario formed a massed
band and paraded. in the annual
Orange Bowl Parade in that city:
The band also played in the
Junior Orange Bowl Parade at
Coral Gables, near Miami, on
December .28.
The trip to the Orange BoWl:was
planned by Pipe Major Ross Baxter
of Collingwood. Legion Pipe Bands
in a wide, area were asked if they
wished. to participate. A Legion
colour party was made up from the .
spon soring Legion branches.
A number of family members
accompanied bandsmen,for a wint-
er holiday in the' sun.

A chapter was closed in the lite
of the •Lucknow Christian. Reformed
Church congregation on 4Sunday
evening, December 27 when Rev.'
John Van. Stempvoort preached his
farewell sermon, "Paul's Conclud-
ing Words to the Corinthians".
After having served the Lucknow
congregatiOn for 5 1/2 ,years, the
Van. Stempvoorts will move to
Leota, MinneSota. This- will b
Rev. Van Sternpvoort's fifth, charge
since he, began his ministry in 1953.
Leota is a small midwest .town of
317 people. Its Christian Reformed'
Church is a rural congregation of
107 families.
The Farewell ' service was *well
attended by, the members and by
friends from the community. Rev.
Van Stempvoort began frig-sermon
with reminiscing.. He' spolce ;of the
congregation's numerical growth
from 51 families in 1969, to the
more than 70 families at present.
Although much of the growth came
from transferred membership of;
other Christian Reformed church,
es, it 'was gratifying to sec a full
house every Sunday. 1r .the
increase in the matter of giving
could be seen 'as a barometer of a
good spiritual Ilk; then there was
also growth in this respect. By way
of retrospect the minister mention-
ed that 7 35 young adults -made
profession of their faith, he had
performed 10 marriages and a
number of baptisms. Though, the
Lord had tested, with sorrow and
illnesses, He had been goOd and
gracious to all.
