Brussels WMS
The monthly meeting of the
Brussels WMS was held at the home
of Mary Huether with all six mem
bers present Dec. 11.
The Christmas devotions were
taken from the Glad Tidings, led by
President Helen Elliott. Hymns sung
were Away in a Manger, O Little
Town of Bethlehem, and Christian
Awake.
The scripture readings were taken
from Luke 1: 1-23, 24, 25, 39-56.
The secretary’s report was read by
Mary Huether and adopted as read,
candles, e.g. Advent Candle,
Welcome Candle, etc. The Welcome
Candle reminds all to let Christ into
their home.
Mrs. Elliott’s story was How can I
be over the hill when I haven’t
reached the top?
She announced that the
Presbyterian annual meeting is Jan.
22 in Wingham’s Presbyterian
Church with Jan. 29 storm date.
Rev. Campbell closed the meeting
with prayer and pronounced the
blessing.
