Blyth students write Christmas stories DEAR SANTA, Christmas: CD player, CDs, soccer I want a bike, a gragon ballz toy, a ' ball, nail polish, 102 Dalmations the My Christmas Story: Charlie lives in a small town called Blue weather. It is a great place where it snows at Christmas. Everyone in Blue weather gets pres ents for Christmas. Charlie like most people in Blue weather are a little different from the rest of the world. They love candy ... lots of candy for Christmas. He is not sure but there must be something more to Christmas than candy. The holidays continue for many years. In 1989, Charlie is old enough to drive a car. The stores are out of candy this Christmas because people bought extra. Charlie decided to drive to another town with his par ents to find candy. The store that they stop at is Wal- Mart in the next town. Charlie sees all kinds of people, toys, gifts and candy. People are buying more than candy. They’re buying things to give to their kids. Charlie realizes it’s not the candy at Christmas, it is the giving that made Christmas special. By Darcy Young. My Christmas Story: It was the day before Christmas. Everyone in Blyth was happy but not everyone. A little girl named Corine was sad because at the first of December her dad left on a business trip. Corine wanted her dad at home with her and her mom and her dog for Christmas. So when her mom made her write her Christmas list, she put I wish my dad was home for Christmas. So her mom phoned her dad and asked if he was coming home for Christmas. Guess what she put on her Christmas list. I wish my dad was home for Christmas. She thinks you are not coming back for me or her or the dog so she is really sad and she wants you to come back for Christmas. At Christmas he stood up at home and that frown turned upside down. She was the happiest girl in Blyth and from that day on she was happy and her dad did not go on any more business trips from that day on. The end. By Whytni Ritchie. My Christmas Story: There once was a little deer bom in his den. His name is Rudolph. He had a red nose so everyone called him Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer at take-off practice. His father hid his nose when taken-off practice came along. He had the best take-off but he bunted his best friend and the coverup came off of his nose. That’s when he was called names, like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. Three years passed along. He ran away because he was being called names. At the castle where Santa lived the elves were working on the toys. Only one was slow at working. He wanted to be a dentist when he grew up. Then he ran away when the top elf didn’t like the dentist idea. He ran into Rudolph by a tree. He asked what he was doing here. He said, “That everyone was laughing at him because of his nose”. They wandered for days. They heard a noise so they hid in the snowbank. It was just a person that lived in the north that was friendly. They kept on going with their friend. They slid on ice right to the cage. Then an arctic wolf came along so they broke the ice and got away. They came to land called the mis chief island. That’s where all the toys that lost their love go to. They got back to their land and told Santa about the toys. Then there was a storm two days before Christmas and all the toys were missing, they found them after all. But it was still storming outside. Santa said, “We will not be able to fly this Christmas.” Then Rudolph shone his nose in Santa’s face. Then he said “We’re flying this Christmas and Rudolph will lead the pack.” By Jessica Nethery.
