The Benediction was then given by Jeff Black. The evening Family Advent night was a wonderful success with some 50 people attending. A scavenger hunt started the evening with people working in groups to find all the items on their lists. Then a delicious potluck supper was enjoyed by everyone. After supper the older children, parents and friends went upstairs to decorate the huge, 10-foot Christmas tree while the younger children and parents heard a story about St. Nicholas and the parents hid gold coin chocolates for the children to find. After that the children hid the coins and the adults had to find them. A get to know you bingo game was played where they had to find the people who belonged to the informa tion on the sheets. Then each family made an Advent Banner to take home. Christmas carols were sung and during the singing of Jingle Bells, Santa Claus surprised every one as he came in ringing his bells. It was a great night and everyone had fun. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Walton Hall a Christmas shopping Event, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will take place.
