run a good campaign, without some
of the nastiness which had marked
the campaign in some jurisdictions.
Kelly and the Progressive
Conservatives held a gathering at the
Wingham Golf and Curling Club.
Although their candidate did not win,
Brian Treble of Wingham, a
spokesman for the Kelly campaign,
said the candidate had garnered 19
per cent of the vote in Huron-Bruce.
Nationally, the Canadian Alliance
will form the official opposition with
66 seats; the Bloc Quebecois comes
in with 37 seats, the NDP at 13 and
the PCs with 12.
