welcomed by a musical prelude by
Bernice Gross.
Rev. Paul Ross spoke on
church’s life and work.
He invited the children to

13. In this Jesus told disciples that
though there would be wars and
rumours of wars they did not need to
worry for He was with them always.
Rev. Ross’s sermon was on Music
Lessons. He spoke on the children’s
wish that they did not need lessons
on instruments and how later they
wished they had taken more. They
found that they enjoyed music.
“We would not like to be without
hymns,” he said. “Both old and new
are still music.”

Saturday night, Nov. 18 regardless
of the stormy weather, Ethel Ball,
Vera Penfound, Audrey Boonstoppel
and Ila Cunningham went to the sale
at Cancer Research, Stratford. There
the quilt made by the Walkerbum
Club sold for $550 and a quilt that
Vera had made sold for $180. Sale of
quilts there came to $106,000 -
amazing!
Winter has arrived early and lots
of white stuff is greeting everyone.
Winter tires have to be put on cars,
the roads seem very slippery. Birds
are enjoying every type of feeder,
plus what is on the ground. We are
blessed with many kinds. A winder
wonderland.
