Council agreed, at the Oct. 2
meeting, to enter into a 10-year lease
with the lawn bowling club for the
use of the greens.
While the village owns the land,
the club owns the railway station,
now used as a clubhouse.***
Council was informed that the
LCBO has received approval fof a
cold room which is to be installed in
January.***
A large item pick-up day will be
arranged for sometime this month.
As well.the leaf vac will be booked
for one time this year, prior to
Halloween.***
The village will have new bag tags
printed as of December. White said
that any residents with a surplus left
of the current ones being used for the
Morris landfill site will be able to
trade them for the new ones.

Watson spoke about the
ambulance issue in his report from
county council. Saying that the
debate was in regard to the number
of stations being decreased from six
to four and moved out of their
present locations, noted, “Everyone
says if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
But it is broken. We have to cut
costs.”
Huron, he said, has one of the
highest costs per call in the province.
