lieutenants were taking a French
immersion course. On the first day,
the professor asked, "Qui esl
bilingue?" My brother-in-law, Bill,
quickly raised his hand. But after a
frustrating few minutes of question
ing him in French with no response,
the professor said, "1 asked 'Who is
bilingual?"'
"Oh, I’m sorry," said Bill. "1 thought
you asked 'Who is Bill Laing.'"
