At the Branch
Legion seeking volunteers for shingling
By JoAnn McDonald
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
I hope you had a nice weekend with
family or friends even if the weather
wasn’t as nice as it could have been.
We can be thankful for all the good
It’s just Smee
There were hoots and hollers, giggles and laughs when the
Dufflebag Theatre troupe arrived in Blyth last week for the
kickoff of their 2000 season. Performing their version of
Peter Pan to a full house of elementary school children, the
four actors had the audience fully involved in the show. Jim
Douchette brings chuckles as silly Smee, Captain, Hook’s
sidekick. Tickets are available by calling the Blyth Festival
box office. Dufflebag will perform at Blyth Memorial Hall,
twice daily at 10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. on Oct 23-26.
Local musicians

A special evening of music, Oct.

Hospital’s outpatient care program.

The Goderich Harbouraires were
founded in 1947. The idea of a men’s
chorus was brought back by ex-ser
vicemen who had heard several
men’s groups while serving over
seas.
Each year the chorus performs at
special concerts.
In 1977 the Harbouraires produces
a recording of World War II songs
entitled Precious Men for the
Goderich branch of the Royal
Canadian Legion.
Stalenhoef was born in The
Netherlands and moved with her
husband Walter to Huron County in
things in our lives but we should
always remember how we got them.
We should take time to remember
those who came before us, who
served in our military, who served
overseas and fought to preserve our
