Due to the Fall Conference being held in Palmerston Monday, Sept. 28 the Auxiliary to Wingham District Hospital met one week earlier, Sept. 18 in the Terrace Room of the hospi­ tal. Fourteen members attended. Ruth Matthews of Wingham was welcomed to the meeting. A very successful fall tea was held at the home of Evelyn Galbraith. Twenty-seven memberships were sold at the tea. Auxiliary members were thanked for making food as well as helping at the tea. Inspiring It was a special night of music at Ethel Cornerstone Fellowship as Sweetwater, a gospel group from the Niagara Peninsula entertained on Saturday night. The Breathe Easy program, being offered in Goderich this fall, will give those with chronic lung disease the knowledge and skills needed to enjoy as active and rewarding a lifestyle as possible. Breathe Easy, -.ponsored by The Lung Association, Huron-Perth and Horizon Pro Health begins Tuesday, Oct. 3 and runs for five consecutive Tuesdays. The program will be held at Goderich Place, 3G Balvina Dr. E. in Goderich and will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Breathing and relaxation tech­ niques will be taught and guest speakers will provide information on medications, diet, coping with chron­ ic illness and the use of respiratory equipment in the home. The five ses­ sions, facilitated by Joanne Riehl of Horizon Pro Health, are informal and include time to chat with others who are also experiencing the challenge of living with lung disease. The cost of the program is $10. Spouses are welcome to attend any or all sessions free of charge. Pre­ registration is required. Jean Leitch, reporting for the gift case, indicated a good business dur­ ing the summer months. The blood donor clinic had a won­ derful turnout of donors in August. The clinic ran very smoothly under the co-ordinator for the Auxiliary - Marion Mackenzie.
