Alfred Reichel and dear mother of
Maria and Elmer Sanderson of
Blyth. Mrs. Reichel was the loving
grandmother of Jonathan, Anthony
and Stephanie Sanderson.
Although it was a rather rainy and
cold morning at the Seaforth Fair on
Friday it did not stop the 4-H clubs
from showing their stock.
I spent most of the morning watch
ing the Huron County 4-H sheep
club show their animals. The judge
The family received friends at the

had quite a time placing the sheep as
there was a large number of entries
this year.
My hat goes off to Florence
Pullen, the leader of the club, who
spent a lot of time getting kids
organized, making sure that things
went smoothly.
Anyone wanting to buy their meat
for the winter can attend the Brussels
Livestock 4-H Calf and Lamb show
and sale on Saturday, Oct. 7. There’ll
be nothing but the best there, all
grain-fed animals.
I know that this is not totally
Walton news but it is too exciting for
me not to tell about my new grand
daughter.

share my news.
Of course everyone knows about
Avon and normally I would never
promote it through the newspaper,
but in this case I am going to. On
Sept. 23 Avon representatives from
coast to coast will be working at
making a $1,000,000 donation for
research into breast cancer.
They will be offering an Avon pink
ribbon candle and glass holder for $5
tax-included. Avon makes no money
at all on these candles. If each rep.
sells six candles a $1,000,000 dona
tion will be made.
I will sell mine at the Walton Inn
on Sept. 22 and 23.
