From dogs to dancers entertainment abounds Tiffin’s Orchestra in the auditorium Sunday starts off with a hearty firemen's breakfast at 7:30 a.m. before enjoying a rousing non-denominational church service at 10 a.m. at the Main Stage. The stepdancing competition takes place at the Main Stage at 1 p.m. As well as musical events, tractor pulls, threshing, border collie demonstrations and horse demonstrations will take place throughout the weekend. HERDING THEM A relatively new attraction at the annual Reunion is the border collie demonstra­ tions. Audiences are delighted by the dogs’ escapades with the Indian runner ducks as they herd them through an obstacle course with amazing alacrity. From the foot-stomping notes of a fiddle to the chill-inspiring strains of the bagpipes, the 39th Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association’s reunion in Bly th, from Sept. 8-10, offers a huge selection of music as well as entertaining shows with talented dancers and performers. From Wednesday, Sept. 6 to the final parade Sunday afternoon, visitors will be treated to jam sessions, old-time dancing, fiddle tunes, Pierce’s Band, Joe Tiffin’s Orchestra, the Happy Hoofers, Brussels Pipe Band and the best in competition. While campers jam at Wednesday evening, the serve as a classroom for old-time dance les­ sons. Thursday’s fiddle jam will be held in Sheds #1, 2 and 3. Entertainment will kick-off Friday with Pierce’s Band taking to Second Stage at noon. The Second Stage will also be the site of the official opening ceremonies at 12:30 p.m. At I p.m., the fiddle competition will fol­ low the Happy Hoofers on the Main Stage. The Hoofers return at 3 p.m. At 4 p.m. on Friday and at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, a parade review be held at the Second Stage. For those wishing to rosin the bow belt out a few tunes of their own, a jam sion will be held in Shed #3 at 8 p.m. Pierce’s Orchestra will move indoors Friday evening, to provide country music for the 8 p.m. dance. Saturday events kick off at 7:30 a.m. when the firehall will be open lor a pancake breakfast. Joe Tiffin's Orchestra will bring dancers to the dance floor' Saturday afternoon as they entertain from the Second Stage. Brussels Pipe Band will take over at I an 391ft Sea&an! fiddle and dance Steel Shed #2, auditorium will and ses- p.m., adding a different flavour to the after­ noon before they move to the antique vehi­ cles exhibit arena at 3 p.m. The Gary Boyle Band will also appear on the Second Stage.
