Cards of thanks
SANDERS. A card of thanks
would never be enough to express
our gratitude for everything that
was done for us. Bert and Mary
Sanders, Michael, Brian and Erin
would like to thank family, friends,
neighbours, co-workers and the
Belgrave Kinsmen for their
overwhelming support during the
past month. Thank you for financial
support, food brought to the house,
cards, flowers, donations, visits and
words of encouragement; to
members of St. Michael’s CWL
and their spouses for the prayer
service and luncheon after the
funeral; to Fr. Dino, Fr. Hardy, Fr.
Pluta and Fr. Mooney for
celebrating with us and the
members of Sacred Heart Church
choir for the beautiful music and
singing at Lia’s mass. Thank you to
Jim Steffler for the eulogy; to
Frank Sanders Jr., Calvin Burkart,
Lisa Kelly and Amy Gutoski for
being pallbearers with Mike and
Brian; Chantelle Willson for being
flower bearer with Erin; to the
aunts who read the petitions,
cousins David and Teresa who did
readings and Lia’s uncles for
singing “On Eagles Wings”. Thank
you to Drs. Kysela and Marshall, to
Brenda, the ambulance staff, to the
doctors and nurses at University
Hospital and all the nursing staff in
Wingham for covering shifts. If
anyone has been missed it is not
intentional. Lia will be sadly
missed by many, many people, for
she touched the lives of so many in
her short time with us. Her illness
was sudden and unexpected. It is a
blessing for us that she did not have
to suffer; she lived her life to the
last The miracle that we all prayed
for turned out not to be that she
would live, but rather, that her
tumor was not malignant. Her death
was NOT for nothing. Her
gentleness and humour are gone
but her compassion and caring live
on in the lives of those who
received her organs. This thought is
what keeps us going. Thank you for
your ongoing prayers. 33-1
SMALL. We would like to say a

mean so much. Thank you for
sharing our sorrow. - Wife,

and her family, Linda and her
family, Ernie James Small and
