Seaforth and sur rounding area. The incidents took place between July 2 and July 13. Officers on July 13 arrested two youths over a stolen 1990 Nissan from Grand Bend on Sideroad 20 in McKillop Twp. Two officers work ing on the case have now cleared cases on break, enter and theft from the Queen's Hotel in Seaforth where Mail-in ballot issue continues to stir debate for ACWW bd. The issue of mail-in ballots caused a stir at the July 31 session of the Ashfield, Colbome, West Wawanosh Twp. transition board. West Wawanosh Councillor Stuart Alton voiced his objection on behalf of his township, to the manner in which Ashfield Twp. representatives were handling the issue. He noted in particular the letter to the editor pub lished in The Lucknow Sentinel writ ten by Ashfield Councillor Miltenburg. Alton asked for an apol ogy regarding the slanderous tone of the letter. Colbome Reeve Stewart Seenstra said his council had the same opinion on how the matter was handled. Ashfield Reeve Ben Van Diepenbeek said the decision to con duct the election by mail had not been unanimous at Ashfield council either. He said those councillors pro moting the issue had reneged on a statement that they would refrain if further discussion with the transition board (at the May 8 meeting) did not find approval. A response was received from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs Housing stating that a portion of the restructuring order pertaining to elec tions was already in effect and could a quantity of alcohol was stolen and also a break-in that occurred in Walton on July 7 to the food conces sion booth at the ball park. The officers laid more charges over two reports of property damage in Seaforth and Tuckersmith Twp. that was reported done by vehicles. The six youths charged were three females and three males from London, Usborne Twp., Exeter, Seaforth, Blyth and Clinton, Their ages range from 15-17 years of age. The charges are 13 counts of break, enter and theft, nine thefts over $5,000, nine thefts under $5,000, five mischief under $5,000, six fail to comply with court orders, five breach of probation, seven posses sion of stolen property. It was also suggested that pro ceeds from the sale of the lot could be used for a second lift of pavement for the subdivision. Recommendations will be brought to the next board meeting with regards to communication equip ment.
