A public meeting was held in conjunction with the Aug. 2 session of Morris council to discuss a zoning amendment. Under consideration was an amendment for South Part Lot 26, Cone. 6 would which see the zoning changed from AGL general agriculture to AGA 16, agricultural small holding-special provisions. The rezoning is part of a con sent application for the cre ation of two parcels of land. The zoning would recog nize the existing residence and the frontage. Under AG4 zoning, the minimum frontage is 23 metres or 73 feet. However, the amendment would allow a frontage of just nine metres or 30 feet for the laneway. The retained parcel is 39.3 hectares or 97.2 acres with a barn to be demolished. The residential lot is 1.12 hectares or 2.8 acres with a residence, two accessory buildings a driveshed and pumphouse. To accommodate a I0-foot separation between the sewage system and lot line, the lot line will be moved. A bylaw was passed to allow the rezoning. The barn is to be removed within two years and a drainage agree ment will be drawn. A bylaw was given first and second readings for the 9-1-l road names.
