Board
makes
staffing
changes
Several staffing issues were dealt
with at the June meeting of the
Huron-Perth Catholic District
School Board.
Teaching contracts were increased
for Lorraine Butson, Dianne Vivian,
Joyce Devereaux and Wendy Rau.
New teachers hired included
Chantal Achilles, Kim Bannon,
Angela Bazinet, Michelle Benjamin,
Michelle Bussiere, Andrew Damen,
Carrie Ducharme, Christopher
Grace, Ted Hopkinson, Paul Langis,
Sharon O’Grady, John Selbie, Stacey
McIntosh and Michael Weiler.
Karen Pliet and Diane Coolman
were hired as educational assistants.
Joanne Melady was granted a
leave of absence from Sept. I to Oct.
I.
By mutual consent, Francine
Looby’s teaching assignment was
reduced.
David Renner and Maureen Lang
were hired as custodians.
Brian Vermunt, a student from St.
Anne’s Catholic Secondary School
in Clinton and Anne Gregus, a stu
dent from Precious Blood School in
Exeter, received recognition for their
contribution to Catholic education.
They were each presented the
OCSTA Award of Merit.
St. Boniface students Steven
Prang, Dustin Verhoeve and Breanne
Becker were recognized for their
participation in the Canada-Wide
Science Fair.
Logan Contracting was awarded
the contract for the addition to St.
Michael Catholic Secondary School.
The tendered price was $2,733,315.
The board will buy out the leases
on 10 portables for a cost of
$282,960.
at the United Church for the month of July.
