The Blyth Old Dogs hockey team
hosted a slow pitch tournament last
weekend. It \Cas an enjoyable time,
proven by all as numerous players
also .played for other teams when
they were short-handed. Now, that is
good sportsmanship.
Umpire Don Shropshall also
enjoyed it.
Those who participated were the
Wingham Lumberjacks who took
the A championship; Mamoch who
captured the B title and Auburn was
the recipient of the C championship.
The other teams entered were
Winthrop, the 8th Liners and
Londesboro.
The money raised from this tour
nament will go to numerous commu
nity clubs/functions.

A quiet moment
Holly Howson enjoyed a story read by volunteer helper Erin Moore at the Gospel Light’s
SonZone, a vacation Bible school, held this week at the Blyth Christian Reformed Church. The
wrap-up will be Sunday morning followed by a pot-luck picnic at the Lion’s Park.
