Well the summer is half shot and
I’m still waiting for the hot days of
July.
Loving God was the theme for the
Kids Comer this year. Crafts, songs,
diama, stories and games filled the
afternoons for the children from the
area - on average 89 kids. To show
their act of kindness the children's
daily offering was used to purchase
health kits for the poor in our world.
A cloth bag made by our volunteers
co-ordinated by Yvonne Dettweiller
was filled with a toothbrush, tooth
paste, a towel, soap and nail clippers.
Each kit cost about $11 and we were
able to send 68 kits. It was a good
time for everyone.
The Anglican folk were busy feed
ing the masses on Sunday with their
pork chop dinner. Good stuff.
Hello from the Boyntons who are
summering in Thessalon.
Speedy recovery wishes go to
Richard Golden’s spouse Joan who
had surgery on Friday.
Enjoy the summer gardens.
Bye now, Betty G. W.

Taking a dive
An average of 89 young people gathered at Brussels Mennonite Fellowship each day last week
to participate in singing, crafts, music, games and learning as part of the summer Bible pro
gram run by the five village churches. The Troupe, consisting of Joelle Martin, Carla Froese,
Michelle Jantzi, Sarah Pinnell and Kristi Procter (of Brussels Mennonite) came from congre
gations across southern Ontario to lead the week-long program before attending eight more
sessions this summer. This year’s theme was Loving God By... kindness, prayer, making
peace, loving others and listening.
